Characteristics of yellow roses
Yellow roses are not found in summer cottages as often as other varieties. But if you want to complement your flower garden with original flowers, then you can choose yellow roses for this. At the moment, there are many varieties, you can choose what suits your tastes and growing conditions more.
Among the gardener, there is an opinion that growing yellow roses is not an occupation for the faint of heart. Why do they think so? This is due to the fact that the predecessor of this rose variety is Foetida Persiana. Almost all subsequent plants that were obtained on the basis of this variety had a rather weak immunity and were quite often exposed to different diseases... Black spot is considered to be especially dangerous.
Relatively recently, breeders managed, after many generations of yellow roses, to develop varieties that have a fairly strong immunity. As for the classic varieties, as well as hybrid tea varieties, there are still quite high requirements for cultivation.
Among the above reasons why gardeners rarely plant yellow roses, there is also some problem in coloring. It is not entirely stable.
Orange varieties of roses, after prolonged contact with the rays of the sun, begin to acquire a pinkish tint. If the weather is hot for a long time, then your flower garden of such roses can be repainted in a fairly short time. Take a variety like Antao Chippendale, for example. The bud of such a flower has a rich orange color, but when the bud opens, the flower takes on a scarlet color.
In addition to all this, many varieties of yellow roses react quite sharply to the slightest changes in the chemical composition of the soil. Also, the pigmentation of the flower is rather strongly influenced by the weather conditions, when the edging of the petal acquires a pinkish tone. All these factors must be taken into account when choosing varieties of yellow roses. Otherwise, it may happen that the color balance in your flower bed may not work out.
