The Zvezdnoye apple variety is widely known in the foothills of the city of Krasnodar, the Republic of Adygea, Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria. This apple variety has successfully passed government tests.

• Description of the tree

The Zvezdnoye apple tree grows medium in size, the crown has a regular wide oval shape, the density is assessed as medium, and the foliage is assessed as strong. The main branches extend from the trunk at an acute angle, approximately forty-five degrees. The twigs are bent. The surface of the bark has some irregularities, the color is brown, the standard bark is cracking. Basically, the fruit-bearing process takes place on simple and complex ringlets, as well as in fruit bags.

The pistil has weak pubescence, grows together only in half, the stigma is located identically in relation to the anthers. The resistance of flowers to cold in the spring season is unsatisfactory. The duration of the flowering process is ordinary.

The harvest of the Zvezdnoye apple tree is large, one fruit most often reaches one hundred and eighty grams, all fruits have identical sizes and shapes, the shape is regular round or conical, the surface of the apple has a weak ribbing. The skin is not oily in sensation, has a roughness, but dim, faded. The main color at the time of removable ripeness is greenish, and in the state of consumer ripeness it is green and yellow at the same time, the integumentary color is not pronounced throughout the apple, reddish. The dots located under the skin are abundant, large in size, gray in color, easy to see. The fruit stem is of normal size, grows straight and has no deviation. The funnel is rather deep, the shape is sharp, conical, but narrow. The calyx does not fall off, it is completely open. A saucer of ordinary depth, rather wide, folded. The heart part of the fruit is small, onion. The seed chambers are half open, of ordinary size. The tube, located under the calyx, is of ordinary size, rather narrow, the shape resembles a funnel. Seeds of ordinary size, in the shape of an egg, brown color.

The pulp is yellow, quite tender, oily to the touch, fine graininess, sour and sweet taste at the same time, tasters rated the taste of fresh fruits at four and a half points on a five-point system, the aroma is not very pronounced.

During the first decade, the yield of this variety exceeded the yield of the Jonathan variety by one hundred and fifty-two percent, but in the following years the percentage dropped to eighty-three percent. However, the harvesting process takes place every year.
