The apple variety Saffron Saratovsky is a rather vigorous tree, has a wide pyramidal crown, quite leafy enough. Fruiting in this subspecies occurs on fruit twigs and ringlets.

The shoots of the Saratov saffron apple tree are straight and thick, endowed with a brownish tint. The leaves are elliptical and dark green in color. They have a rather pronounced venation and are crenate at the edges. The petioles are of medium length. Inflorescences in the subspecies consist of 4-5 flowers. The buds are pinkish in color. The corolla is endowed with a cupped shape and medium size, solid around the edges, the petals have a pink tint.

The fruits of the Saffron Saratov apple variety have an average size when ripe, each such fruit can reach a weight of 90 to 160 grams. Also, these fruits are endowed with a conical-oval shape. The main color of such an apple is rich yellow. There are quite a large number of subcutaneous points, and they are very small in size. The integumentary color of the fruit is an orange blush with stripes of a scarlet or dark scarlet hue around the entire perimeter of the fruit. The peduncle is of medium length, it is straight and thin, with a small nodule near the base. The funnel is of medium width, smooth and very small, without rusting. The saucer is medium in size, as is its depth. The calyx is open structure, non-falling. The sub-cup tube is quite deep, narrow and conical in shape. The heart is medium in size, cordate, with closed chambers. The seeds are oval in shape and medium in size, colored in a dark brown shade.
