Apple tree Baikal reaches 3 meters in height and belongs to the bush type. As the tree grows, a ball-like crown forms. The trunk and branches of the tree are brown-gray, with slight peeling. The branches are thin, but strong, so they do not break under the influence of strong winds, they are even and have no bends. Each branch deviates from the trunk by almost 80 degrees.

They taste sweet and sour with a mild aroma. In terms of chemical composition, the fruits contain titratable acids 2%, vitamin C 11%, natural sugars 12%.

Gardeners begin to harvest fruits closer to autumn, since the flowering process, like ripening, begins rather late. Most often, preservation is made from the fruits by preparing juices, compote or jam. After harvest, the apples will be stored for about 70 days, so you can eat them fresh.
The first fruiting of the Baikal apple tree falls on 3 years after planting the tree in a permanent place. The amount of harvest is high, one tree brings about 45-60 kilograms.
