Growing adenium is a little difficult, as it is quite whimsical. He needs a certain temperature, light, watering and fertilization. But if all the conditions are met, the plant will delight with its beauty for a long time.

Adenium is propagated by seeds, apical cuttings, air layers and grafting.

When planting seeds, you should always take into account that they have a very poor germination capacity. They are sown from late February to early March. Before planting, the seeds must be soaked in warm water for an hour. In a sowing container, mix the earth with sand and add a little charcoal there. Seeds are sown in damp ground, covered with foil and placed in a very warm place.

Seedlings begin to appear after a week, then remove the film and put the container on the window. Seedlings require a lot of light, so they need a lamp for additional lighting. You need to water the seedlings little by little and not often, otherwise the roots can rot. After the second pair of leaves appears on the plants, they need to be planted in separate pots.

Adenium is propagated by apical cuttings in spring, but this is a little difficult, because cuttings are prone to decay. Cuttings are cut, treated with charcoal and dried. Then you can plant it in a pot and keep it on the windowsill at a temperature not lower than 21 degrees. It is important to monitor the soil, water it carefully so that there is no waterlogging of the soil. After about a month, the cuttings will take root and can be planted in a permanent place.

Reproduction and cultivation of adenium at home with air layers should start in late spring or early summer. On a thick shoot, a shallow cut is made in a circle and left to dry. After it dries up, the incision site is treated with stimulants and wrapped in an opaque film, under the film it needs to be periodically moistened a little, and somewhere in a month roots will appear, the cuttings can be cut off from the bush and transplanted to a permanent place.

It is best to graft on oleander, then the young plant is more resistant to everything, and blooms better. To graft the plant on the rootstock and the scion, make the same cuts and connect them. Home care for adenium

Care and cultivation of adenium is not as difficult as it seems initially. The flower needs direct sunlight, but after winter the flower needs to be re-accustomed to it gradually. The best temperature for him is from 25 to 30 degrees, in summer it is advisable to take the flower out into the fresh air more often. And in winter, the temperature should not drop below 12 degrees, otherwise the roots may simply overcool and the flower will wither.

Watering the plant in the summer should be regular and moderate, because it does not tolerate waterlogging, between watering the soil in the pot must have time to dry out. In winter, in the coolness, the flower is rarely watered. Moreover, you need to water adenium at the root, and in no case should water get on the flowers.
