Of the early varieties, Macherauch is very popular. Berries of this variety are very sweet, and their color is rich raspberry. The "Zarya" variety is also referred to the early ripening ones. Its bushes can grow very tall, and in terms of taste, it is slightly sour than Maherauhi. "Zarya" perfectly tolerates the cold, but when she leaves, it is necessary to remember about its moisture-loving nature, periodically supplying it with abundant watering.

Popular mid-season varieties include strawberries "Festivalnaya". Such strawberries are distinguished by their ability to produce very large yields of large and sweet berries.

There are varieties that have come to us from other countries and have successfully rooted in the Russian garden plots of many summer residents.

For example, the Red Gauntlet variety came to us from Great Britain. Such a variety initially has strong immunity, due to which it is resistant to many diseases and pests. The dark red berries are characteristic of the variety called Zenga Zangana. The strawberries are not large, rather medium in size. Many people like this variety for its good adaptation during cold weather, so typical for our region.

Of course, these are not all varieties of strawberries.There are really a lot of them, and by going to the seed store you can spend hours choosing the best variety for yourself.

If you want to always be able to find fresh ripe berries on your plot during the summer season, you should not experiment with several varieties that are new to you at once. It would be a good idea to plant already "proven" strawberries in most beds, and give a small part for new varieties (in this case, you will get confidence in a rich harvest, and check for frost resistance, yield and taste characteristics of new varieties).

Not so long ago, a new strawberry variety was introduced. It has a white color even when ripe. The taste of such a strawberry is a bit like the taste of pineapple, and the berries themselves are very fragrant. However, despite all the unusualness of the variety, gardeners rarely choose it for planting in their garden.

Of course, you don't have to grow strawberries on your plot, because by the fall, in any market, a grandmother sits at every step and sells delicious large berries. but still, it is much more enjoyable to eat your own grown strawberries, in which you have invested a lot of effort.
