Worsley: plant description
Worsley Is a gorgeous blue flower that attracts attention from those who visit the botanical gardens. Today, many varieties have been bred, which allows you to grow the plant even at home, indoor conditions. It is a tall plant that belongs to the Amarallis family and has long evergreen leaves. The plant looks especially impressive in the summer, when it enters the stage of its flowering. In this article, we will dwell a little more on the features of the flower and on how it can reproduce, in particular at home.
Vorsley's homeland is the tropical part of Brazil. There it is mainly found in rocky areas, which are also brightly lit. Under natural conditions, the plant can reach a height of almost one and a half meters, and also differs from other crops in that it has very large leaves - 90 centimeters long and 10 centimeters wide.
Worsley blooms not once, but several times per season. In one peduncle, up to 15 flowers are formed, which can have such colors as blue, lilac-blue, dark blue. Despite the fact that this is an exclusively decorative flower, it is not so popular among those who prefer to plant indoor flowers. The reason is that it is very problematic for Worsley to create ideal conditions for it to quickly adapt, and even more so to take root.
In addition, it is very difficult to find Vorsley on sale, and even if a gardener was lucky enough to find a blue amaryllis, he will not at all be pleased with the price of this flower - it is very high.
Worsley: home care

If, nevertheless, the florist has found this flower, then he needs to take into account some of the features of caring for this flower at home. As a rule, Worsley feels best in a greenhouse or on the territory of a special winter garden. But if the florist shows a little more patience, then he can easily grow Vorsley in indoor conditions. The main thing is to take into account all the features of the flower and create conditions for it that will be as close as possible to natural, natural for Vorsley.
Thus, most of all Worsley needs rocky, breathable, nutritious soil, as well as bright lighting, high humidity. Yes, these conditions are quite difficult to observe in the rooms, but still, for the sake of obtaining a beautiful and viable plant, flower growers go to absolutely any measure.
When planting Vorsley, it is necessary not only to have excellent drainage, but also to take into account the following: the soil should consist of a huge number of small porous stones. Lava or pumice is used as a base, since both of these components are especially important and suitable for creating drainage. You can also add to them such components as coconut fiber, peat and moss, pieces of bark, which also create the necessary conditions for Worsley and her root system.
The lighting should be continuous throughout the day, so it is best to place the fluff pot on the southern windowsills. The plant is sometimes shaded, but this is necessary only in two main cases: either immediately after the plant has been planted, or if the weather is very hot in summer, which can harm the deciduous part of the plant. Experienced flower growers also recommend placing the hairs next to other plants that also love moisture and light. These include vriezia, pineapple or cyperus. They will complement each other perfectly, and in general will be extremely useful for joint growth.
Vorsley successfully tolerates short-term temperature drops of up to 2 degrees. But still, in the summer, it is best to keep the temperature not lower than 25 degrees and not higher than 30, otherwise the plant will grow worse and develop more slowly. In indoor conditions, the flowering of hairs can be observed only once, and only if the gardener provided the plant with all the favorable and necessary conditions for development. In order to extend the flowering period, anthers should be removed even before pollen begins to fall off them.
The substrate in which Worsley is planted must always be moist, and the grower must water it daily. To do this, it is best to take already settled water, which has reached room temperature, and air should flow to the roots constantly and unhindered. In order to maintain the necessary high humidity, the hair is also regularly sprayed with warm water, it is extremely loyal to this and immediately gives positive reactions.
In winter, watering should be reduced, but at the same time it is constantly monitored so that the plant does not dry out. In a rocky substrate, we observe a small amount of nutrients and components, therefore, plant feeding should be carried out quite often, almost weekly. To do this, the selected fertilizers are diluted in warm, settled water, the solution is poured into a container, and a pot with a plant is already lowered into it. The procedure is carried out within 20 minutes, after which the remaining water flows off, and the plant is considered fed.
Propagation by seeds or "children" of this plant

Of course, in an article about such a beautiful and rare plant, it is necessary to mention how it reproduces. If you buy Worsley in a store, then the seeds are best soaked in a growth stimulator. In order to prevent fungal and viral diseases, a certain amount of phytosporin is also added to the solution. The soil is prepared from a mixture that includes peat and sand, as well as vermiculite. Then the soil is moistened, seeds are placed in it, and the box must be covered with glass, which is also raised daily in order to allow the plant to air a little.
After the first shoots of Vorsley have appeared, the glass should be completely removed. The hardened plants are planted separately in pots. It is worth focusing on the fact that these seedlings grow and develop rather slowly, and they also begin to bloom later than those that were grown from children. As you can understand, the second method (from children) is much easier. During transplantation, young bulbs are separated from the mother plant and planted immediately in pots. Vorsley is transplanted very rarely, only if necessary. In general, the plant loves to take root more in the same place, it can be capricious after transplantation, which requires additional efforts on the part of the gardener himself.
Thus, Worsley is still very beautiful, but whimsical, therefore, before planting, the gardener needs to measure his strength and understand whether he needs it or not. In addition, the Worsley flower is quite expensive, and if it disappears, it will be annoying not only from its loss, but also from how much money and time was spent on it.
