Voronets is generally a very useful and well-known plant. He has long attracted people with his appearance. And in the old days, and now it is very often used in folk medicine. But before preparing the medicine, you must definitely know how to do it correctly and for what exactly it is being done, as well as very strictly observe the dosage, otherwise it is very easy for them to get poisoned. In folk medicine, it is not fully used, but only some of its parts. It is very beautiful, which is why gardeners very often choose it for growing on their site as an ornamental plant, and it is also very often used in landscape design.
The raven belongs to the family - buttercup. And its name comes from the Greek word, which means elder, because they are very similar in appearance. The crow has more than 30 species, which are very similar to each other. Depending on the species, it grows in height from 30 cm to a meter. His root system is very well developed and he is able to live in one place without requiring a transplant until 12 years old. Voronets' berries are very beautiful, red or white, but they are very poisonous. The Vorontsa bush itself looks original and definitely attracts attention, therefore it is often grown as an ornamental plant.
In our country, the common crow is pointed, red-fruited and spike-shaped. These types of plants are most often grown in garden plots. It is known that the Voronets root system contains a small amount of iodine and ascorbic acid, as well as cardiac glycosides, alkaloids, coumarins and resins. But in pharmacology, this plant is not used, and it is harvested only for traditional medicine. At the very beginning of its distribution, and this was a very, very long time ago, the red-fruited raven grew only in the taiga. But later it expanded throughout Russia and from Karelia to Sakhalin. Nowadays, it is very often grown on their personal plots and in gardens, as an ornamental plant every year it becomes more and more popular.
Of all types of Voronets, both in folk medicine and in decorative plantings, only the red-fruited Voronets is used. Moreover, only the roots and leaves of the plant are used for treatment, the stems are completely unnecessary. Infusions and decoctions of Vorontsa helps well against the growth and swelling of the thyroid gland and attacks of bronchial asthma. It also helps at the very beginning of the development of hypertension. Traditional healers also make a decoction from the fruits and leaves of the plant. They are often treated for ulcers, headaches and heart pains. Voronets is very often used in homeopathy, for this they make an extract from the roots of the plant, which is used for inflammation.
But besides the fact that the raven is a medicinal plant, it can also cause very strong harm to the body. Despite all the advantages, it is very easy to get poisoned. This is because it is very toxic, so you need to prepare the preparations correctly, otherwise, if you do something wrong, it can even be fatal. As a decoration on the plots, the Red-fruited Voronets is also planted. This plant is perennial and very beautiful. Perfect not only as individual plants, but you can also compose a composition with other flowers, perfect for planting in a flower bed, and since the raven is a fairly tall shrub, it is very often used as a hedge.

The raven can take root in absolutely any soil, even where other plants do not grow at all. Another plus of this shrub is its plus is that it tolerates winter frosts very well, and it is not necessary to insulate it for the winter at all. Also, these plants are resistant to absolutely any diseases and pests. And gardeners love this shrub because it is completely unpretentious in its cultivation. Although it is still worth feeding the Voronets by making fertilizers in the form of compost or humus. This is best done in early spring and late autumn, and in dry weather, the shrub needs to be watered, not often, but abundantly. Once every 10 days will be enough.
Ravens can be propagated by dividing the bush. It is very simple and no different from the propagation of other plants. The beginning of spring and the very beginning of autumn are very suitable for planting shrubs. When dividing, the root system must be cut into equal parts and only with a clean, sharp instrument, and at least 3 buds must remain on each part of the plant. The planting hole must be prepared in advance, fertilized and wait about 10 days for the earth to infuse and settle in it. Its depth and width are individual, it depends only on the size of the seedlings you will plant in it. Before planting, it is best to apply some kind of fertilizer and shed the hole well, set the seedling strictly in the center, straightening the root system. Also, next to the seedling, it is imperative to install a stake for support and tie the seedling to it. It should be tied up until it takes root.
Of course, you can propagate the raven plant with seeds. They are sown in the fall, almost before the first frost. But in this case, there are no guarantees, since the germination of seeds is rather poor. Never forget that the black raven is poisonous and you need to deal with this plant only strictly with gloves. You cannot touch it with your hands. If your family has small children, then it is better to refuse planting this plant. Preparing this Varenets as a medicine is not as difficult as it might initially seem. The root of the plant must be carefully dug up and thoroughly shaken off the ground, rinsed, cut into several pieces no more than 10 cm long and dried in a dark place in a well-ventilated area. The leaves of the plant can also be dried. To do this, they need to be spread out on a flat surface, periodically stirring them up so that they dry well.
Raven: application

It is imperative to prepare Voronets in a protective mask so that the pores of the plant do not enter the lungs. Otherwise, it can cause not only poisoning, but also a burn of the respiratory tract, as well as allergies. Special decoctions are very often prepared from the root system of Voronets. To do this, it is crushed in a meat grinder or in a coffee grinder. And 1 teaspoon of Voronets is poured into half a liter of boiling water. The infusion is kept in a water bath for 5 minutes, and then tightly closed with a lid and allowed to brew for about an hour. Then, before each meal, drink 1 tablespoon of the broth. Infusions are prepared from dried leaves. To do this, grind the foliage and pour a glass of boiling water, leave for about 2 hours, then filter the infusion and also drink a tablespoon before each meal. Any kind of Voronets is very toxic, and improper preparation of a decoction or infusion, or an overdose of it, threatens you with poisoning. If, after taking such a drug, you have nausea, dizziness and increased heart rate, then you must immediately consult a doctor by calling an ambulance, so these are all signs of poisoning, and it can be very severe. In the meantime, the ambulance is going to waste time and you need to immediately rinse the stomach.
Conclusion
The crow is a very beautiful, but very dangerous shrub. With its beautiful and appetizing berries, it attracts to itself and causes a great desire to taste them, although they are bitter, but some people still manage to try a couple of them. But what this threatens is written above. Of course, in all, there should be a moderate overdose of any substance dangerous to health, and sometimes it can be fatal, but in the case of the Voronets, it is not for nothing that there is a saying in a spoon of health, in a cup of poison. Perhaps in the future the raven will be used in pharmacology and modern medicine, but at the moment it is used only by folk healers.
