Cherry Zhuravka

Cherry Zhuravka is a representative of the cultivar, which was selected for marker characteristics at the All-Russian Research Institute of Lupine. This cherry variety is the result of the work of a group of specialists M.V. Kanshin and A.I. Astakhov. Cherry variety Zhuravka has been added to the state register since 2001.

The tree of the cherry variety Zhuravka grows small in size, the crown has a shape that resembles a broom, the density is estimated as ordinary. The buds are small in size, the vegetative buds have a shape that resembles a regular cone, the deviation is pronounced, the generative buds have the shape of a regular oval. The branches grow straight, the leaf plates are rather thick, of ordinary dimensions, along the edges the leaf plate is crenate, the glands are large, yellowish in color. The flowers are of ordinary size, white in color, the shape resembles a saucer, the petals are placed freely or in contact with each other, the stigma is also located or slightly higher than the anthers, the shape of the cup resembles a glass, no serrations are observed, the stamens are of ordinary size, the pistil is elongated. Brings harvest on annual shoots.

Features of the variety

Most often, the mass of one cherry Zhuravka reaches five point and two tenths of a gram, but sometimes there are specimens weighing seven point and two tenths of a gram, the approximate width of the fruit is twenty millimeters, and the height reaches twenty three millimeters, the diameter is twenty one millimeters, the shape of the correct wide circle, funnel of ordinary size, the upper part has the shape of a regular flat circle, the color of the fruit is dark red, the flesh has a color identical to the juice, namely dark red, the density is estimated as ordinary. The fruit stem of the Zhuravka cherry variety is rather long, about sixty-four millimeters, ordinary thickness, the funnel has large thickenings and occupies most of the funnel. The stone has the shape of a regular oval, its mass reaches thirty-six hundredths of a gram, which is seven point and four tenths of a percent of the total mass of one fruit, the color is light brown, the upper part is slightly pointed, the base has the shape of a regular circle, it is removed from the pulp well. The fruits are large in size, the experts rated the presentation at five points on a five-point system, the fruits are filled with juice, taste qualities were rated by the tasters at three point and nine-tenths on a five-point system, the application is universal. The fruits of the cherry variety Zhuravka contain:
