Cherry Solidarity: variety description and characteristics
Cherry Solidarity bred at the Institute of Horticulture named after M.F.Sidorenko. The cultivar was developed by isolating Cherry from seedlings Zhukovskaya with free pollination. The growth of young seedlings took place in the vicinity of cherry plantations. The authorship of the work of this variety was shared by N.I. Turovtsev and V.A.Turovtseva. The cherry variety Solidarity entered the process of state testing in 1995.
Cherry tree variety Solidarity refers to representatives of rapidly developing and reaching maturity crops, the formation of an extended crown, a slight drooping in the direction of growth, thickening of the crown of the average. The branches of the skeleton of the tree and the main trunk are covered with peeling gray bark. Thick upright shoots of a tree are colored brownish-brown. A large number of large and yellow lentils were noted.

Medium-sized leaf blades form an elliptical formation of dark green color, the surface structure of the leaves is smooth and matte. Rather flat plates of the leaf, sharply sharpened to the apices, and form a slight sharpening at the base. Along the edge of the leaves there is a small serrate-toothed frame. The stipule is of a meek size, and a very significant dissection is formed. The fall of the leaves of the Solidarity cherry variety occurs at an early date. The petiole is of medium length, but the base is rather thick; there is an increased pigmentation in color. Smallish glands, rounded shape, have a light color. Small flowers are white.
Solidarity cherries of large sizes, weighing up to 7 grams, have a rounded shape. The top of the berry is also rounded, and there is a small depression at the base of the fruit. The berry pit is small in size, but rather wide in shape. Almost invisible to the eye, the abdominal seam on the berry. Of medium parameters, the length of the stalk, which is perfectly separated from the branches, but clings to the stone itself quite firmly. The color of the fruit is darkish red. The composition of chemical elements in the cherry berry Solidarity: dry matter in the amount of 14.9%, 7% are sugars, only 0.59% organic acids and 9.9 mg ascorbic acid for every 100 grams of product.
Features of this variety
Solidarity cherry trees reach maturity in the process of fruiting only 4 years after direct planting on the territory of the site. Mass ripening of the crop falls on the 20th of June. Cherry variety Solidarity is intended for dessert use. Subject to all agrotechnical rules at the time of cultivation, a ten-year-old tree can bring up to 31 kilograms of an excellent harvest.
