Cherry Early steppe obtained by selection of seedlings bred by free pollination of selected varieties of cherry varieties "Stepnaya". The originator is the Central Siberian Botanical Garden of the SB RAS. The authors are: V.S.Simagin, M.N. Salamatov. Cherry variety Early Steppe has been listed in the state register since 1996, and is recommended for cultivation in Western Siberia.

Cherry bush Early steppe small size, heights up to one and a half meters, medium dense, large foliage. The bark covering the trunk is smooth, dark brown in color. Shoots grow upward, slightly bend, greenish-brown in color, next year the color changes to light gray, lentils are few in number, yellow-gray, small. Vegetative buds are in the form of an oval, pointed, generative - rounded, in the form of an oval, lagging behind the shoots in an average degree. The inflorescence is umbellate, contains three to four flowers, measuring twenty mm across, the corolla is in the form of a saucer, the petals do not close, white in color, the stigma slightly exceeds the anthers, the cup is in the form of a glass, the sepals are rounded, in the form of a triangle, the teeth are absent, the stamens grow up to ten mm, the pistil reaches thirteen mm. Flowering occurs mostly on annual branches.
Description of fruits
