Cherry Novoseletskaya was obtained thanks to the work of a selection specialist S.G. Sukhotskaya. This cherry variety was developed using the selection of steppe cherry planting materials at the Omsk State Agrarian University. This variety of cherries was included in the state register in 2002 for the West Siberian region.

The shrub of the Novoseletskaya cherry variety grows small, about one meter ten to twenty centimeters up, a width of about one meter ten to twenty centimeters, and the row spacing reaches one meter ninety centimeters.
