Cherry Finaevskaya: description of the variety and characteristics

Cherry Finaevskaya was bred with the co-authorship of E.P. Finaev and P.P. Ivanov on the territory of the experimental gardening station of the Kuibyshev district in 1957. The Finaevskaya cherry variety was bred by sowing seed Cherry Dessert Volga with free pollination. It has been included in the list of the State Register for the territory of the Srednevolzhsk region since 1988.

The Finaevskaya cherry tree is a medium-sized plant, in terms of the degree of growth time it occupies an average position. The spread crown of the Finaevskaya cherry variety is formed in the shape of a pyramid, a slight rise of branches, relatively medium in thickening. 60% is fruiting, the formation of which occurs on the growth of the one-year season, bouquet branches bring up to 40% of the total fruit. The bark of the trunk, as well as the main branches, has a smooth brown colored coating. Medium-sized shoots, upright type, of the same type with the trunk, brown color, without roughness, that is, naked. A small number of medium-sized and yellow lentils.

The leaf plates of the Finaevskaya cherry variety are wide, obovate, sharply pointed at the base, darkish green in color, slight wrinkling on the leaf surface, matte overall coating. But the taste qualities of the very pulp of the Finaevskaya cherry variety have a good assessment: attractive juiciness, tenderness in taste, the color of the pulp and cavity is one-color, the color of the juice is predominantly red, even a little dark tint. There is a sweet taste with a prominent sourness. On the scale, the taste of Finaevskaya cherries is estimated at 4.6 points. The external parameters of the fruits were estimated at 4.8 points.

The Finaevskaya cherry variety has an average degree of separation of the seed from the pulp of the berry. The bone has an inverse ovoid shape, a blunt end, and a smooth surface structure. The chemical composition of the fruits: dry matter - 19.64%, sugar - 12.62%, organic acids - 2.04%, ascorbic acid composition - 9.5 mg for every 100 grams of product. The self-fertile characteristic of Finaevskaya cherry allows you to get sufficiently large and high-quality yields through pollination with a variety Vladimirskaya, Dessert Volga, Lyubskaya... On May 1-14, the mass flowering of trees begins, and continues until the last days of May. Late ripening. The main harvest lasts from 22 July to 1 August. Already at the 4th year of development, the tree enters full-fledged fruiting, the main harvest is increasing annually. When you reach 7 years from the moment of planting a young seedling of the Finaevskaya cherry variety, you can collect up to 10 kilograms from each individual bush, at the age of 12 years the tree brings up to 18 kilograms of berries. Finaevskaya cherry is distinguished by a stable annual harvest. Good quality fruit adhesion to the tree does not allow the fruit to fall off before the main harvest period.

Breeding varieties

The main methods of propagation of this variety are grafting on the seedlings of the clonal rootstock of the variety Rastunya, Vladimirskaya, Kostychevskaya, cultivation is recommended in areas that are well protected from strong winds and have a small hill. The soil for planting the Finaevskaya cherry variety is recommended for a mechanical, slightly lightweight composition. The scheme for disembarkation is approximately the following: 4 * 4 and 5 * 2.5 meters. The bushes need to carry out the formation of the crown and obligatory, systematic pruning, otherwise the bush is able to grow very quickly and densely, while losing the ability to yield in those volumes that were declared by the authors when breeding this variety. Cherry variety Finaevskaya has not been tested for cultivation on an industrial scale using mechanized harvesting.
