Therefore, grapes are mainly grown in the south: in the Crimea and in the Krasnodar Territory. However, knowing a few secrets can help you grow juicy and refreshing grapes in temperate climates. For example, Anyuta grapes. Today we will consider the rules for growing these grapes.
What does Anyuta grape look like
Anyuta grapes: variety description
Anyuta grapes are suitable for growing in different climatic zones. She has a very well-developed root system, therefore, after several years of cultivation, the seedling turns into a three-meter bushes - a jungle. Another indisputable plus of Anyuta grapes is that the flowers of this variety are bisexual, which means that it is not necessary to plant other grape varieties nearby. Note that they are remarkably pollinated in rainy weather. Anyuta grapes are big enough. The weight of one berry is about 15 grams, and the brush is up to 1 kilogram. Seed grapes, bunches are quite voluminous. The berries have a pleasant waxy bloom, the fruits are firm, large with a pinkish tinge. This grape is considered mid-season, so the harvest usually begins in the first half of September, and in the more northern regions of our country only in October. Plants usually begin to bear fruit in the fifth year after planting. From one bush, you can get up to 5 or 6 kilograms of fresh ripe berries.
Planting a seedling
Planting the grape variety Anyuta, like some others, is recommended in the south of Russia. However, if the summer is warm enough in your area, it can be grown on your site. It is customary to plant seedlings near any supports, walls, buildings, a place well protected from the wind. Remember that the grapes are very fond of the Sun, so the site should be well lit. Prevent drafts from entering the area and hypothermia at night. However, plants should not be planted close to buildings. Due to the peculiarity of the root system and the development of the plant, the distance between the plant and the building must be at least 70 centimeters. This variety is not very picky about the type of soil. However, Anyuta grapes love salt, so choose soils with a high content of this substance. It is not advisable to choose areas with an elevated level of groundwater, since the grapes are quite resistant to drought, but it does not tolerate rotting of the root system very badly.
It is best to buy seedlings from the markets, as usually this seedling will already be adapted to the climate in which you live. A seedling of this grape can be grown independently by cutting off the stalk and placing it in water, having previously moistened it with a stimulant for the growth of the root system. After a month, the first roots usually appear.
Anyuta grapes are planted either in the fall or in the spring. But it is still advisable to carry out this event in the spring, since over the summer the grapes will be able to harden well in the ground and calmly endure hibernation. In order to plant grapes, you need to dig a hole with a depth of 60 cm. If you plan to plant several plants at once, then the planting holes must be dug at a distance of at least one meter from each other. Fertilizers, compost, humus are usually placed at the bottom of the planting pits. Then a seedling is placed in it, having first straightened the root system, and covered with earth. Then the plants need to be watered and the topsoil compacted.Sometimes gardeners dig planting holes in the fall, so that the earth at the bottom can get sick and be enriched with nutrients even before planting.
Correct care
Anyuta grapes will need to be watered, loosened the soil around it, fertilize it, and form a bush. Anyuta grapes are very drought tolerant, so you won't need to water too often. But during the flowering period, it is better not to do this, as this can lead to dropping of flowers or the appearance of cracks on ripe fruits. Very often, when growing grapes, drainage pipes are used so that water flows directly to the root system.
From improvised means, you can build a kind of water supply. To do this, take several plastic bottles, cut off the neck and bottom of each, dig one end of the bottle into the ground, towards the root of the grapes, and leave the other end on the surface. The construction is ready. In order to water the grapes using bottles, you will need to pour water inside, and it will calmly reach directly to the root. It is better to cover Anyuta grapes for the winter. This grape is not very frost-resistant. Therefore, the seedlings are sprinkled with sand, and covered with breathable material on top. However, make sure that it does not resemble a greenhouse, the plant does not need increased moisture in winter and spring.
Pros and cons of the variety
Among the advantages of the Anyuta grape variety, they note a high yield, resistance to temperature extremes, as well as to many fungi, an elastic and dense skin of berries, as well as a high rate of plant development. Of the minuses: the presence of seeds in the fruits, often overloading the vine under the weight of the crop, low frost resistance. It is exclusively your right to choose Anyuta for planting on your site or not, therefore, before planting, weigh all the pros and cons and correctly assess the "capabilities" of your region, climate and natural geographic conditions.
