Victoria in the garden. We grow homemade strawberries on our own
Strawberry Victoria is a homemade strawberry variety. She is known to everyone, without exception, and grows in every garden. There is a difference in size and taste between home and wild strawberries. Jam is made from it in the same way as from the wild. It is delicious fresh. It has many vitamins, it is also frozen for the winter. Victoria leaves contain vitamin C, calcium and iron. Tea is even brewed with its leaves.
Strawberry Victoria is a strawberry variety. Planting Victoria is best done in early spring or early fall. This is the time when there is enough moisture in the ground, and the temperature outside is just already stable, and well suited for planting. You need to plant Victoria in a well-lit place, ideally so that legumes or onions were the predecessor of Victoria. Victoria is put in wide and deep holes, at a distance of at least 30 cm from each other. Initially, the land needs to be fertilized. It is not worth planting it in the heat, it is better to do it in the evening or early in the morning. Before planting, seedlings should be soaked in water for a couple of hours. Saplings, ideally, should not have leaves about a root no more than 10 cm long. When Victoria was planted, and she began to put on a mustache, you do not need to feel sorry for them, but immediately remove them. Otherwise, the berry will be small and small, because they take almost all the strength from the bush and prevent the young bush from taking root well. As soon as Victoria was planted in damp ground and until the moment until she blooms, she does not need to be watered. But the earth needs to be loosened regularly so that oxygen flows to the roots. But when she bloomed and berries are tied, Victoria needs a lot of water, she needs to be watered abundantly, but make sure that the water does not stagnate. It is also necessary to water the Victoria strawberries before wintering.
Victoria should be fertilized in moderation about once a month. If there is too much fertilizer, the taste of the berries will be different, not so sweet. But if there is little fertilization, then the berries will be pale, and the leaves may turn red. Fertilizers are applied to the ground after watering. Victoria is propagated in four ways. Seed, mustache, transfer rosette and pollination. If you propagate by seeds, this is the most difficult way. They need to be prepared, sown in small cups with fertilized soil, 3-4 seeds each, sprayed with a spray bottle, covered with foil and put in a warm place and wait for entrances. As Victoria rises, put it on the window and take care of it, because small seedlings are very fragile, and the slightest temperature deviation, watering a little more or a draft can kill your seedlings.
Breeding with a mustache: you need to carefully cut the mustache from an adult bush, put it in a glass of water and leave it for a couple of days. Until the outlet and roots appear. Then we pour the earth straight into the glass so that there is gruel in the glass, which should dry out in two weeks, during this time the roots will form and the bush can be planted in open ground. Relocating the outlet: This is the easiest way to cut the outlet from an adult bush and replant it to a permanent location. Water and fertilize.
Pollination: Victoria is a dioecious plant, it is pollinated by insects. But this can also be done artificially. Take a thin brush and poke at all the flowers, after a while there will be a lot of pollen on the brush, and as soon as new flowers appear, pollinate them with this brush. Repeat this several times, then even if the flower is "barren", after pollination, berries will be tied on it.
It is better to plant Victoria in an open area where there is a lot of sun, the main thing is to observe the distance between the bushes, fertilize and water correctly, then loosen and remove weeds, and then your berry will always delight you with a large and tasty harvest.
