The development of the variety was carried out for the use of dill as a greenery. The variety is not cultivated for umbrellas, but some still use Kibray dill for twisting for the winter, because the maturation of umbrellas occurs in large numbers, albeit late in terms of timing.
The leaves are wide, but very strongly dissected. The bush grows up to 0.3-0.4 m, the leaves are covered with a thin waxy layer. The chip of the Kibray dill variety is that the coloring of the plant gives off a little yellowness, many people think because of this that the dill is drying out.
The dill variety Kibray is included in the TOP of the best varieties of dill in terms of green mass gain and growth.
Yield indicator Dill Kimbay
The yield of Kibray dill is 3 kg of dill / square. If you cultivate a variety for spices, then the yield indicator will be in the range of 1.5-2 kg / square. The mass of an adult bush is 25-30 grams. Ripening period - 40-45 days after planting. The dill harvest time depends on the purpose for which you want to cultivate the variety. If eaten fresh, then you can tear the dill throughout the growing season. But it is better to pluck in the morning. Collect the leaves individually or cut off the shoots completely.
If you plan to freeze or dry greens, then pluck them at the moment when they grow up to 0.3 meters in length. To use dill as a spice, the greens are harvested 60 days after planting. The collection of Kimbai dill seeds is carried out after the umbrellas acquire a gray color and harden.
The yield of Kimbai dill depends on the lighting of the site. A slight partial shade can already strike a blow to the green mass gathering.
Resistant to weather and disease
The dill variety Kibray has excellent tolerance to low temperature conditions. This is the most frost-resistant garden plant. The grains are capable of germinating under temperature conditions of +3 degrees. In order for the planted dill to develop optimally, an air temperature of + 8-10 degrees is necessary, but it can grow equally well with frosts down to -5 degrees. However, dill does not withstand hot and dry periods. The variety is moisture-loving, and if a prolonged drought occurs, then there will be a loss of its juiciness.
To maintain the freshness of the greens in the hot season, experienced gardeners recommend putting a canopy over the plantings.
Plants are prone to damage by powdery mildew, especially if the area is highly humid, but immunity to this disease was introduced into our species of dill during selection. This means that greens are allowed to be cultivated in low-lying areas, which accumulate precipitation and moisture after watering.
How to correctly plant dill Kibray
It is necessary to choose a site for planting so that it is open, with good illumination. In partial shade and shade, dill will grow greens for a long time. Also consider crop rotation. It is recommended to cultivate plants at the sites of cultivation of such predecessors as: cabbage, tomatoes, legumes, cucumbers. In the autumn season, digging of the place is carried out and fertilizing is applied to the soil. The first time to feed requires 15 g of ammonium nitrate, 10 g of superphosphate, 10 g of potassium salt, diluted and mixed in water.
Kibray dill seeds are sown almost always on April or May days. It is allowed to plant plants in the autumn season, almost before the winter. It is necessary to deepen the material for planting by 2 cm, no more. The interval between seedlings is 20 cm, not less. It is not recommended to do long distances between the seeds of Kibray dill, because it will "promote" vigorous and abundant growth of weeds between seedlings.
The early ripening dates of the Kibray dill crop are obtained by sowing sprouted seeds or planting dill in greenhouse conditions.

Agrotechnical techniques are simple. Base: loosen, weed, water, fertilize. If the planting site will be prepared in advance in the autumn season, then additionally feeding is not necessary, in principle. Plants will tell you everything about the lack of nutrients by their appearance. If there is not enough nitrogen, then the dill will begin to bloom early and turn a rich yellow color, but do not confuse this with the varietal characteristic, in which the leaves take on a yellowish coloration.
To get enough trace elements, add a solution of 1 teaspoon of urea / 10 liters of water to the soil. Dill likes when it is fed with nettle infusion, which has already fermented. Nettle infusion will protect greenery from harmful insects, for example, from aphids.
It is forbidden to make top dressing of wood ash. It will inhibit the growth of the plant and provoke the appearance of a red coloration on the leaves.
Soil weeding is carried out when necessary. Ideally, it is not required to maintain the beds, but a large number of weeds makes water stagnant in the soil, the place can become waterlogged over time. The soil is loosened so that oxygen better flows to the root system of the dill. It is required to loosen 7-8 cm deep, not more, in order to avoid damage to the soil structure.
When watering, watch out for the surface layer of the soil, there should be no cracking and drying out, however, it is strictly forbidden to overmoisten the plantings. Watering frequency - 2 times / 24 hours. If you do not want to steam up with watering, then install an automatic watering system.
Diseases and harmful insects
The dill variety Kibray has a high immunity to diseases, but if it is affected by diseases, it is mostly powdery mildew. If you notice that the disease still attacked, then spray with a weak solution of a suspension of sulfur (20 grams / 10 liters of water).
Preventive measures: planting of plants is carried out taking into account the crop rotation; after the harvest is harvested, a deep digging of the site is carried out; watering is done in moderation, without waterlogging.
Of the pests, dill is usually attacked aphid... The fight against it is carried out by means of a solution of 2 tablespoons of Troy per 10 liters of water. Also, aphids do not tolerate the smell of thyme, which means that plantings can be overlaid with it. Organic fertilizers in liquid form help to get rid of the annoying insect. The best option is saltpeter. Organic matter is introduced into the soil in moderation, because an excess of nitrogen-containing fertilizers can contribute to the development of the fungus.
The development of Kibray dill is excellent, even if you take care of it to a minimum. To get a generous harvest, provide the dill with the necessary conditions, two of which are important: good lighting and regular watering. You can feed, if you want, weeding is required, if necessary at the moment.
The harvest of Kibray dill can be stored in the refrigerator, thus the properties of dill will be preserved for 5-7 days. To keep the plants longer, it is recommended to freeze or dry them. Dry dill Kibray should be stored in a dark place.
Dill Kibray: reviews of gardeners
Alena Alexandrovna, Omsk region: “The dill variety Kibray has been growing with me for four years now, this is my favorite. The choice was made based on people's reviews on the Internet and photographs. Dill Kibray looks magnificent outwardly. The return on the variety is excellent: a lot of greenery. And in general, dill is not afraid of frost, it's great. Caring for the variety is simple, except that watering needs to be applied frequently and fertilized at times. I do not weed weeds, the greenery develops well without it. If you want to get umbrellas for pickling, then take another type of dill. In the Kibray dill variety, the appearance of umbrellas occurs late. "
Margarita Sergeevna, Moscow region: “My dill Kibray grows both in the wild and is cultivated on the ridges. There is no difference. It's easy to look after, just water. It develops well without fertilizers, in my case it is. But plant in a well-lit place, in the sun. Since I somehow planted Kibray dill in a shaded place, the bushes came out small, sluggish, and tasteless. The next time I planted it in the sun, it turned out to be a generous and strong harvest. "
