Content:
So many weeds and grass have accumulated on your site that there is nowhere to go? There is an exit! An excellent green herb fertilizer can be made. For this, mowed grass, dandelions, coltsfoot, lupins, nettles and many other unnecessary plants are suitable. Why Green Fertilizer? Many gardeners choose this type of fertilizer for a reason. Its main advantage is affordability and budget. Everything you need for cooking is right at hand, because every person in the garden will find a whole mountain of weeds, especially after the first spring weeding. In addition, it is an absolutely harmless fertilizer that does not have an unpleasant odor like manure, for example.
Grass Fertilizer: Nettle Fertilizer
Nettle dressings are rich in trace elements useful for plants, nitrogen, for example.
You need to prepare fertilizer according to this recipe:
Take a plastic barrel and fill it 2/3 with grass. Fill the barrel with grass with water to the top. Cover the top of the barrel with a lid. We insist the solution for about two weeks. Ready!
If you are going to spray plants, then the solution must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:20, and if watering - 1:10. Also, to make fertilizers even more useful, you can add cow dung, ash or agrochemicals that contain potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, sulfur, boron, etc. to it. If you have not been able to find a sufficient amount of nettle, then a good option would be to use it in tandem with bitter wormwood, comfrey, and common tansy.
Nettle infusion can be sprayed with apple trees, currants, cabbage, this will protect the plants from aphids. You can also fertilize tomatoes and cucumbers with this dressing.
Compost
Vegetable compost is a versatile and very necessary top dressing in the garden. It is good because it decomposes quickly enough and during this process it loses toxic ammonia. Compost is used for fertilization and insulation of beds in pure form and in liquid form, diluting it with water. Lupins are best suited for composting. The plant absorbs a large amount of nitrogen, which is contained in the soil, which makes it an excellent fertilizer. To prepare such a top dressing, you need to plant lupins.
Plant no more than 1-3 plants, because a fairly large bush grows from one seed. Lupine will certainly delight you with its beauty, but remember that you cannot allow seeds to appear. They are very resistant to any temperature extremes. But if you still did not have time to cut the lupins before the seeds appear, then you need to neutralize them. To do this, place the flowers in water for about two weeks and then add them to the compost.
Grass Fertilizer: Weed Fertilizer
Oddly enough, but weeds are often used to feed cultivated plants.
Best suited: clover, chamomile, mustard, wormwood and others. Cooking method:
The first step is to chop up our weeds. You can do this with your hands, scissors, or a knife. Do not grind too small, the pieces should be medium in size. We fill the barrel with our weeds about 2/3. Now we fill the barrel with water up to the top. Add dolomite flour to the resulting solution at the rate of 150 g of flour per 10 liters of water. We close the barrel with a lid and let the grass stand for about 2 weeks. This fertilizer is perfect for watering many crops.
Due to the content of various nutrients in it, it promotes the rapid growth and development of cultivated plants and provides them with essential vitamins.
Fertilizer from yeast and grass
Unfortunately, at home it is impossible to determine what trace elements and nutrients the grass growing in your area contains. It depends on various factors that are not controlled by humans. Therefore, it may turn out that using simple grass, you will not enrich the soil in any way. In such cases, yeast comes to the rescue. Yeast contains a lot of usefulness: potassium, calcium, magnesium, chalk, boron, and others. And this means that any fertilizers with the addition of yeast automatically become useful for cultivated plants.
To prepare top dressing, you need to dissolve yeast (1 kg) in water (10 l). The resulting solution must be diluted again in water, for 20 liters of water there is 1 liter of solution. Next, pour the yeast into the diluted herb (the recipe is described above).
That's all! An excellent universal fertilizer is ready.
