Fertilization of fruit trees with agrochemicals
Content:
Every gardener wants to get such a harvest of fruits and berries from his site that it will not only last for the summer, but also for the whole next year. To do this, it is necessary to provide the trees with proper and good care. One of the main elements of care is the fertilization of fruit trees. Fertilizing plants, you can not only increase the yield by several, but also make the plant more hardy, increase its resistance to cold weather and disease.
Fertilization of fruit trees: what are the types of mineral fertilizers?
1. Nitrogen.
Nitrogen fertilizers are necessary for trees, but they should be applied very carefully, carefully reading the instructions for use and clearly following them. Nitrogen is found in urea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate and others.
It is quite easy to apply such fertilizers to the soil, because they are characterized by high mobility and good solubility. Usually they are introduced in the form of an aqueous solution or scattered over the surface of the earth. If you chose the second option, then the substance must be immediately buried slightly in the ground, otherwise they will disappear.
2. Potash.
Such fertilizers will saturate the tree with various microelements and vitamins it needs, which will increase the plant's endurance and increase its yield. We must not forget that potash fertilizers must be diluted with iron or zinc.
The most common fertilizer of this type is potassium sulfate. Experts recommend mixing potash and phosphate fertilizers. They complement each other perfectly.
3. Phosphate fertilizers.
Help trees survive various climatic changes. So, a tree that has been saturated with phosphorus will perfectly tolerate frosts, temperature fluctuations and drought. Such fertilizers are injected deep into the ground to make it easier for the roots to absorb nutrients. Most of all, young trees need phosphorus fertilizers, as it stimulates the growth and development of the root system, contributes to the growth of green mass. It is also recommended to saturate the soil with potassium-phosphorus fertilizers before planting the garden. They should be enough for several years to come.
Feeding algorithm
1. First feeding.
It is performed in the spring, in the 2nd half of March. At this time, it is necessary to increase the foliage of the trees, for which nitrogen-containing dressings are excellent. Only use fertilizers that will be easily and quickly absorbed by the plant. Ammonium nitrate and urea dissolved in water are perfect. Phosphate and potash fertilizers can be added to this composition.
2. Second feeding.
The main purpose of the second feeding is to improve fruit setting. Fertilizers are usually used with the addition of potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen. You need to make top dressing a week before the first flowers appear.
3. Third feeding.
Approximately 2 weeks after the beginning of flowering, the third feeding is performed. It is necessary to apply complex fertilizers, as in previous cases.
4. Fourth feeding.
In the second half of June, the last feeding is usually carried out. Its main goal is to increase the number of fruits. It is necessary to apply approximately 10-15% of the annual rate of phosphorus, nitrogen and potash fertilizers.
