Valuable tips for planting crops in mud
Long ago, our grandfathers and great-grandfathers said: cultures in the mud - you will be a prince. And this has its own truth. If you plant in dry soil, then your grain will not germinate, and if you plant in wet soil, on the contrary, your grain will quickly bear fruit for you. Many gardeners believe that onions, carrots, beets, parsley and dill should generally be planted before winter. In the spring, as soon as conditions appear for this, they will sprout themselves. But there is such a problem that there is no necessary spring mud and the soil has already begun to dry out.
There is no need to panic. It is enough just to water the grooves with water. It is advisable to add the required mineral fertilizer before such watering. After watering, the fertilizer will dissolve and become more readily available so that it can be absorbed by the young seedling roots. If possible, the seeds should be evenly spaced, after which the grooves should be covered with earth and lightly tamped so that there is no empty space around the seeds. You can tamp with both your hands and the back of the hoe.
If you have moistened the soil, this does not mean that you have done everything necessary and can be finished. In addition to moisture, warmth is also important. After all, the better the earth is warmed up, the faster you can get a good and large harvest. Sometimes modern gardeners practice the so-called winter sowing of vegetables. Your seeds will simply be in the ground waiting for the moment when the soil warms up to at least +5 degrees.
It is indisputable that glass or film greenhouses create heat around the plant. But here it should be borne in mind that greenhouses can provide such warmth only during the day, therefore at night the greenhouse will cool down and it will be cold. Therefore, in such a matter, we do not advise you to rush, even if you have greenhouses. Greenhouse seedlings most often begin to be planted in mid-May. But do not forget that before planting a plant in the ground, it must be prepared for summer cottage, street conditions, because they differ significantly from those that you created for them at home.
The most important thing is ultraviolet radiation. After planting the plant, sunburn may appear on the leaves. If you do not want your plant to suffer, it is recommended to gradually accustom the seedlings to the sun's rays during the growth. To do this, simply expose the container with seedlings to a window or balcony. This procedure will also help the leaves get used to the movement of air around them. After all, being in an ordinary room, they do not know what the wind is and they begin to evaporate moisture uncontrollably, and when they are in the open air, the air itself will evaporate this moisture.
Due to this, the respiratory pores of the leaves will become much smaller and the leaves will begin to become covered with hairs. As for the time, it is better to plant a plant in living soil in the evening. This is best done so that the roots can better adapt to the new environment. Also, one piece of advice would be that when you bring the seedlings from home, it is best not to plant them right away, but wait at least a day. After all, moving is also stressful for the plant. Let him better adapt to his new place of residence.
