Tetramisole is administered to animals in the period from 9 to 12 hours, the introduction of the drug into the animal's body is made orally diluted with water or food, additional preparation is not required.
Ten percent Tetramisole is dissolved in water and using a syringe, the finished drug is injected into the throat of the animal. In addition to the syringe, you can use any other device suitable for this procedure.
Tetramisole powder can interfere with antibiotics and other medications, therefore, before treating and handling large numbers of livestock, it is recommended to conduct trial testing on several individuals (5-6). Also, due to the weakness of the immune system of the infected animal organism, complications may arise.
The following dosage of 10% Tetramisole is calculated per kilogram of live weight:
- 200 mg dosage of Tetramisole for chickens. It is applied separately from the feed, directly into the throat with an appropriate device or syringe.
- Pigs: 100 mg. It is prohibited to use more than 45 g per animal, regardless of the total weight of the animal. In the case of general treatment of the herd, it is permissible to mix the drug with feed (one and a half grams per 10 kg of weight). An important point, all feed with the drug should be consumed within an hour, according to this, its amount is calculated.
- Cattle: 80 mg. For the prevention of a young brood of livestock, the drug is given one and a half to two months after the withdrawal to the pasture. Adults, however, are treated before changing the pasture to a new one or moving and closed premises.
- Sheep: 75 mg.
Important! The above dosages are used only for the drug tetramisole with a ten percent equivalent, it is categorically not used in a pure substance. 20% tetramisole is used similarly to 10%, and the doses already indicated above are halved.
Additional information about the drug
Does not apply to all types of animals. For example, it is not used according to the instructions for dogs, cats, rabbits.
When using Tetramisole in accordance with the instructions, without exceeding or reducing the dose indicated for a particular type of animal, side effects have not been identified. Does not apply in case of violations of the kidneys and liver of the animal, in case of infection with infectious diseases, in the last stages of pregnancy
Store Tetramisole out of sunlight and in a dry place. The storage temperature range varies from - to + 30. Shelf life is 5 years from the date of production.
