The black currant bush Vasilisa has strong growth and slight spreading. Crohn's has an average thickening index. The shoots are not lignified, thick enough, have a pale green color and without pubescence. Lignified shoots are also thick, pale yellow in color and do not have pubescence. The kidneys are oblong, medium in size and have a sharp apical part. They are solitary, have a rich color and slight pubescence, they are rejected from the shoot. The apical part kidney is free. The leaf scar has a wedge-shaped shape and a drawn-out upper part.
The leaf of the black currant bush Vasilisa is three-lobed, of medium size. It has a dark green color with a matte, smooth and flat surface. The main veins are colorless. The middle blade has a wide triangular shape and a pointed upper part. It is much longer than the side ones; there are additional protrusions on it. The lateral lobes are short, pointed and wide, the upper parts have a direction to the sides, between the veins of the lateral lobes there is a right angle. The basal lobes are poorly developed, they have open veins. This leaflet has a heart-shaped base, the notch is of average size and it is open. The teeth are also medium, with a distinct "tip". The petiole is short, without pubescence, thick rather and pinkish, it is located at right angles to the shoot.
Vasilisa currant flowers are large and round in shape. Sepals have a rich shade and free arrangement. The brush is endowed with an average length and density.
When ripe, the berries of the black currant Vasilisa are medium in size and round in shape. They are black and dry. Also, these berries have a large number of seeds with an average size. The taste of these berries is sweet, with a slight sourness. Vasilisa currant has a dining function. The peduncle is endowed with medium length and green color, has no pubescence. The calyx is very small in size, does not fall off, of a closed type. In their chemical composition, the berries have: dry soluble substances 14.2 percent; the amount of sugars is 7.4 percent; titratable acids 3.7 percent; ascorbic acid 145 milligrams per 100 grams of product.
Black currant Vasilisa has its main difference in a high level of frost resistance. It is also worth noting that this subspecies of currants is considered self-fertile (by about 60 percent). The bush is highly immune to diseases and harmful insects. The yield level for this variety averages 10 tons per hectare. The black currant variety Vasilisa is quite suitable for use in industrial plantings and in private gardening.
