Black currant Riasnaya: description of the variety and characteristics
The currant bush of the Ryasnaya variety reaches medium size, the branches are close, so the crown is slightly spreading, dense, needs pruning. The growing shoot is rather thick, even, straight, with slight pubescence. The lignified shoot is slightly curved at the end, long, medium in thickness, brown-gray in color. The buds are small in size, the top is sharp, strongly elongated, brown-pink in color, they strongly deviate from the shoots.
The leaves of the Riasnaya black currant variety have five lobes, they are medium in size, dark green in color. The leaf plate is even, with small villi, slightly concave inward. The central blades differ in size and shape. They are triangular, wide and much longer than the rest of the blades. The lateral lobe is rounded with a slightly pointed end. The basal lobe is well developed. Large veins are located along the entire surface of the leaf. The edges are serrated, the petioles are short, thick, light green.
The flowers are large, the petals are close to each other, forming a dense pink-white bud. The fruit clusters are up to 8 centimeters long. The berries are unevenly distributed, mainly in the lower part of the brush.

The berries of the Riasnaya black currant variety are large in weight, on average they reach up to 3 grams. They are round in shape, with a slightly elongated top and compressed sides. The skin is black-blue, smooth, even, the separation is dry, inside the pulp there is a small amount of seeds. The stalks are medium in size, brown in color.
The taste of the black currant variety Ryasnaya is dominated by sweetness. Fruits contain many nutrients, for example, natural sugars 15%, titratable acids 2%, vitamin C 3%, pectin 2%.
