The black currant of Myuryuchan belongs to the herbaceous group with an ordinary ripening time, was developed at the Yakutsk Research Institute of Agriculture by combining such a variety of black currants as "ruby" with "moss", the parental species of which are "R. procumbens Pall "and" R. sib. Wolf ”, thanks to the work of selection specialists MA Chertkova and LP Gotovtseva. The black currant variety Myuryuchana was included in the state register for breeding achievements in 1999, and was allowed to be cultivated in the Eastern and Siberian regions.

Fruit shrubs of the Muruchana currant variety grow medium in size, the spreading is assessed as strong, and the density is assessed as ordinary. The branches are of medium size, have villi, the color is yellow and brown at the same time. The buds are medium in size, arranged one at a time, cone-shaped, do not recede, do not have a bright anthocyanin, there are villi. The upper kidney is free. Rounded leaf scar.
The foliage has five lobes, medium-sized, green in color, not glossy, with wrinkles, the leaf plate is concave, serrated at the edges. The blades have a certain sharpening, the upper part is drawn and narrowed, the main blade is triangular in shape, slightly larger than the others. The angle between the veins of the blades located on the sides is practically ninety degrees. The basal lobes are usually visible, extended. The base of the foliage is triangular in shape, notch of ordinary size, completely open. The serration is small, with a clearly visible end. The petiole is of ordinary size, has villi, does not have anthocyanin, is located at an angle of forty-five degrees to the branch.
The flowers are of ordinary size, the shape is cupped, the sepals are pinkish, they are located freely. The brushes are of medium size, the density is estimated as average as well as the size of the axis.

Berries of the Muruchan currant are large in size, approximately one gram, oval or round shape, almost black in color, detach from the fruit stem without saping, the number of seeds is average, about twenty-eight to seventy-five pieces, the peel is ordinary, sweet to taste, with a currant smell, the application is universal. The calyx is large, completely closed, the fruit stem is of medium size, the color is green, there is an anthocyanin color, a small number of villi. The fruits contain:
- eleven - fifteen and a half percent dry soluble substances.
- four to seven and a half percent - sugar.
- three - three and a half percent - titratable acid.
- two hundred fifteen - three hundred twenty-five milligrams of ascorbic acid per hundred grams of raw product.
Characteristics of this fruit currant variety
Black currant Muryuchan has the highest immunity to sub-zero temperatures, bears a large number of fruits, approximately four and a half tons per hectare on average, and the maximum yield is about seven and a half tons per hectare, the degree of resistance to various ailments is satisfactory, and the level of resistance drought is very low.
