The Monisto currant bush reaches large sizes, since the branches are located close, a dense, slightly spreading crown is formed. The growing shoot is long, medium in thickness, smooth, with a small amount of anthocyanin. The lignified shoot is medium in thickness, gray-brown in color, the top is yellow-orange. The shoot is shiny, with a short internode. The kidneys reach rather large sizes, ovoid in shape, pink in color, one side of the kidney is wider than the other, the glands are clearly visible. Buds strongly deviate from the shoots, sit on short stems.
Monisto black currant leaves have five lobes, small in size. The color of the leaf is light green, without shine, the leaf plate is covered with wrinkles and folds. A large vein runs along the center, along which the sheet is bent. The middle lobes are wide, slightly shorter than the central one, without additional projections. The lateral lobe is short, forming an acute angle between the veins.
Each blade is strongly elongated and pointed. The basal lobe is poorly developed. There are small teeth along the edges.
The flowers of the black currant Monisto are large, shaped like a glass, the petals are long, narrow, white-pink, slightly curled around the edges. Brushes with Monisto currants reach up to 7 centimeters in length, the average number of berries in a brush is 6 pieces. Fruits are unevenly distributed, more are found at the bottom of the brush.

The fruits of the Monisto currant are quite large, the average weight is 1.2 grams, the maximum is about 1.8 grams. The separation is dry, sweetness prevails in the taste, since the berries contain a large amount of natural sugar.
