Radyuk, by self-pollination subspecies Minai Shmyrev... In 2002, this subspecies was entered in the State Register and zoned for the Central Region of our country.

Currant Kupalinka belongs to the vigorous varieties of this fruit and berry crop. This bush is distinguished by an average thickening index and a slight spreading. The growing shoots of the Kupalinka currant are green in color, they are thick and have an uneven coloration of anthocyanins, there is no pubescence on them. The lignified shoot is endowed with a dark brown tint and a matte surface. It is medium in size and thin, has a curvature, there are nodes with 2-3 buds. Buds are large and elongated, thin, green in color, as well as fusiform with a pointed apical part, are located parallel to the shoot, occasionally on an elongated stem. The bud of the apical part is in a non-free position, it is large and green in color, has a cylindrical shape and a loose structure, the smallest size is found near it. Renal scales elongated with a very large "nose". The leaf scar has a round shape.
The leaves of the Kupalinka shrub are five-lobed. Such a leaf has a green color, a pointed shape, wide spread, with a wrinkled structure and a shiny surface. The middle lobe is elongated and pointed, with a corrugated structure, folded along the central vein, with the apical part lowered down, endowed with additional protrusions. The lateral lobes are pointed, have a straight or obtuse angle between the veins of the lateral lobes. At the lateral lobes, the upper sides are raised and are located at an acute angle to the central vein, while the lower ones are strongly oblique. The basal lobes are rather distinct, they are pointed, their veins are spread. There are deep and pointed notches between the blades. The base of this leaf has an open recess and an average depth. The denticles are serrate and very small. The petiole is not colored and has a bronze sheen.
When blooming, the flowers of the Kupalinka currant are large and have a pink-green hue. The pistil in such a flower is located below the stamens. The brushes are of medium size and thickness, they are elongated. The stem is green in color and short in length.
The fruits of the Kupalinka currant are quite large, each berry can reach a mass of 1.4 grams. They are round in shape. The surface of the fruit is covered with a thin skin, but a fairly sweaty structure, has a black tint. The cup is round, very small and closed. The stalk has an average length. The taste of these fruits is sweet, with a slight sourness, quite tasty and pleasant. The inner part of the fruit has a juicy texture. When tasting, these berries received an assessment of 4.8 points out of five. It is also worth noting that these fruits have a universal purpose.In their chemical composition, berries contain: dry soluble substances 13.5 percent, the amount of sugars 9.2 percent, titratable acids 2.3 percent, ascorbic acid 190 milligrams per 100 grams of product, pectins (wet weight) 1.3 percent.
Distinctive features of the Kupalinka currant can be called: a good level of frost resistance, a high yield (up to 18 tons per hectare).
