The Klussonovskaya black currant shrub usually grows to a large size, the spreading is assessed as weak, and the density is assessed as medium. The growing branches are green in color, of ordinary thickness, have no villi, there are dark rusty or brown spots. Lignified branches are gray in color, have no villi, glossy, there are dark brownish spots at the top, internodes are small or medium. The upper parts are vertical, located at an angle to the main vein, the blades located below are almost vertical. The basal lobes are usually pronounced; the veins face the soil, towards the upper part of the leaf plate, or they are spread out. The base of the leaf plate has an open shallow groove, which is not observed at all in most foliage. The serration is small with sharp tips, the petiole is colored, has no villi.
