Positive and negative qualities
Pluses of black currant Berdchanka:
- Large and high quality fruits.
- High yield. The average yield is about 5.5 tons per hectare, but with good care and feeding, it rises to 8.9 tons per hectare.
- Resistant to low temperatures, up to -29 degrees.
- An increased immune system, which prevents the bush from getting sick with fungal diseases.
Cons of black currant Berdchanka:
- The bush often suffers from septoria. Septoria has a second name - it is white spot. It occurs most often in wet weather when the bush is weakened. In order for the currants to always have the strength to fight the disease, it is necessary to apply fertilizers, as well as to carry out minimal care of the crop. In the fight and prevention of septoria, fungicides are excellent, which are used in minimal dosages.
