Plum Volzhskaya early occurred as a result of crossing two varieties "thorns" and "large-fruited thorns". This variety was developed at the Saratov experimental gardening station by A.P. Kruglov and G.I. Dymnov. The Volzhskaya early plum variety was entered into the state register in 2006 for the Lower Volga region.

The flowers of the Volzhskaya plum are early double, have a cream color, of an ordinary size, the buds also have a cream color together with petals, irregularities are not observed.

The harvest of Volzhskaya early plum is rather sweet and astringent. The early Volzhskaya plum is not firmly attached to the fruit stem, it is removed from the branches without any problems. The fruits contain:
