We plant the pumpkin correctly!
Pumpkin is a healthy, bright orange vegetable. It contains vitamins of group B, A, P, it is also rich in iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, fluorine, zinc, sulfur, chlorine, calcium. The pumpkin is planted by seed. Pumpkin seeds are large. They have a dense shell. Before sowing, they are soaked in warm water. After they hatch, they are planted in moist soil with an edge to a depth of five to six centimeters.
The soil is compacted and covered with foil until it rises. The soil temperature should be about twenty degrees, at a lower soil temperature, the seeds will not sprout.
For the first shoots to appear, you need to wait about a week. After the first shoots appear, the film is removed. In order for the pumpkin to grow well, it needs light and warmth. The best temperature will be 22-25 degrees.
Weekly, after the appearance of the cotyledon leaves, the pumpkin must be fed. For this, fertilizers such as kemira-lux or uniflor-growth are suitable.
Watering should be done in moderation and only with warm water. The cotyledon leaves should be green and regular in shape. If there are any deviations, these seedlings must be discarded.
After germination, the pumpkin is transplanted (no later than 25 days). Landing is carried out by the transshipment method. That is, just before planting, the plant is watered abundantly and transplanted into a prepared hole with a lump of earth.
Before planting seedlings, the soil is fertilized with compost or humus, adding one bucket to the garden bed and digging it to a depth of about fifteen centimeters. Ash (two glasses), superphosphate (two tablespoons), water (5-8 liters) are added to the hole itself.
After the pumpkin is planted, you need to add soil to the cotyledon leaves and water a little to connect the earthen coma with the soil of the garden. Further, it is advisable to grind the soil.
After planting, watering is not done for two weeks. Seedlings must be covered with newspaper caps for four or five days, so to speak, shade.
Also, the pumpkin can be planted in a seedless way, that is, the seeds can be planted directly into the soil. This requires the soil to warm up by 16 degrees at a depth of about 8 centimeters. To do this, you need to insulate the soil.
An old fur coat or blanket is buried to a depth of forty to sixty centimeters, and organically rich soil (compost) is spread on top and the dug earth is returned to its place. Watering is in progress. The bed is covered with foil. After ten days, you can plant the seeds.
After planting, the seedlings are covered with foil. After it grows to a film, holes are made so that the plant grows further.
We must not forget to add earth under the cotyledon leaves. You need to water each plant separately at the root. The film should not be removed all summer, for better results.
There is also a good option for planting a pumpkin on a compost heap. In this case, the plant does not need to be fed and watered. Watering will only be needed in dry weather.
The distance between the seedlings should be quite large, about one and a half meters.
If you plant pumpkin seeds, taking into account the above information, you can get a wonderful harvest in the form of large and tasty pumpkins.
