Planting in June after early crops. What to plant on the vacated beds?
Content:
In June, as a rule, the floor of the garden becomes empty. Summer residents are divided into two groups: the 1st group gives the land a rest and does not sow anything else, the 2nd continues planting in June and prepares the soil for a new crop with a short growing season.
Landings in June: Yes or No?
If the soil in the garden requires an increased amount of fertilizers and other minerals, then it is best, after harvesting the May-June harvest, to prepare the site for next year or sowing in the fall.
At one time, the soil without organic matter is ready for re-circulation in the same crops as in the winter sowing.
The weeded beds are watered along the furrows of the future planting or continuous. Approximately 30-40 grams per square meter of the total area for irrigation is applied to nitroammophos. If in the fall the soil was sufficiently fertilized with chemicals, then nitroammofoska is enough 15 g, you can sow salads, onions on a feather, dill, peas and even fennel.
What to plant?
The first half of June is the time for cauliflower, medium white cabbage, kohlrabi. 5-10 g of fertilizer is added to the holes that remained after collecting onions and lettuce, 25 cm under irrigation. In this case, the roots of the seedlings are dipped into the root and begin to be planted. The beds mulch and shade the seedlings.
Potatoes are planted in the place left after the collection of dill, onions, radishes and other spicy vegetable crops.
The first decade of June is good for zucchini, squash and pumpkin. Add 10 g of nitroammophoska and water to the wells. Then, as the solution has been absorbed, 2-3 seeds are deepened by 2-3 cm and the soil is slightly compacted. Further, continuous mulching is carried out. This is necessary to maintain moisture in the soil.
After collecting early crops, the garden is occupied by nightshades. Peppers, eggplants, tomatoes are planted until about June 15th. Nitrophoska or nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers are introduced into the wells, a sufficiently large amount of water is poured in and plants are planted in the resulting slurry. This method leads to rapid flowering. After planting, the soil is mulched.
Also, in the first half of June, cucumbers can be planted in the free area of the garden. After the appearance of 2-4 leaves, it is necessary to sprinkle them with a mixture of boric acid and iodine. (10 liters of warm water, 2 tsp. Boric acid and a quarter teaspoon of iodine. You can add 10 g of kemira or crystallin). With the help of this mixture, plants can better tolerate heat and its drops.
During the whole month, you can make two summer crops of beets and carrots. They can be sown from spring every 15-20 days.
Eventually
Using repeated planting, 2-3 crops can be harvested in one season. It is important not to forget that such intensive use of the soil requires a full replenishment of nutrients. Therefore, humus, organic fertilizers must be added to the autumn soil preparation, and green manure crops must be used with incorporation into the soil next fall or spring.
