How to properly prepare the soil for planting?
To get a high and high-quality harvest, you need to properly prepare the soil for planting. Baking powder must be added to some of the soil in the garden, and for certain crops, the corresponding organic matter.
To prepare the soil in the garden before planting, you must do the following:
- Harrow the land dug up in the fall. Break the lumps with a rake, level the surface of the bed.
- If the ground is heavy, then you should dig it up again. This will destroy the rhizomes of weeds, as well as the larvae of pests such as Colorado and May beetles and the beetles themselves.
- Get rid of weeds. Bury the weeds in the ground and sprinkle them with bone meal or wood ash on top. At the same time, the earth becomes deacidified and does not allow the weed to grow.
- After deoxidation, cover the ground with mown grass, chips,
- Create permanent beds so as not to dig them up every year, constantly replenish them with fertilizers.
- Apply rotted compost or manure to the beds and spread them. Add one bucket of compost or manure to one running meter and distribute over the entire area.
- Then fertilize.
Under carrots and beets, nitroammophos and double superphosphate must be added to the soil in the garden.
Onions - double superphosphate and ammonium nitrate. For one square meter, the proportions are as follows: superphosphate - one tablespoon, ammonium nitrate and nitroammophoska - one matchbox each, that is, about 20 g. Dig up the soil in the garden and level it. For beets - humus, saltpeter and potassium chloride. Once every 2-3 years, it is recommended to pour copper sulfate instead of potassium permanganate: one teaspoon per 10 liters of water.
Note: nitroammofoska is the best fertilizer for the soil in the garden. It includes: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. It is suitable for planting and potatoes. The proportions of applying nitroammofoska are as follows: 50-60 g per square meter of the area allocated for planting. Under an apple tree, it is required to add about 350 g, for cherries - 135 g, for currants and gooseberries - 80-100 g, - for one meter of the area of raspberries - 40-50 g, strawberries - 25-30 g. Nitroammofosku is also used for feeding tomatoes. You can scatter it on the ground or pour it directly into the holes before planting. Thanks to nitroammofosk, the soil in the garden becomes better and a high yield is obtained.
