Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to grow this magnificent flower. Let us examine in detail the features of growing peony tulips:
First of all, purchase tulip bulbs, it will not be difficult, it is available in any flower shop or via the Internet. This should be done in September. Make sure the bulbs are brown, very hard-skinned and medium in size.
Before planting tulips, find a location with sufficient light and wind-free conditions. Where groundwater is located nearby, it is also not suitable, otherwise the plantings may rot or become infected with diseases. To eliminate pests in the soil, treat the soil with a manganese solution before planting.
Next, we are planting the bulbs. When planting, leave a distance of about 9 cm between the bulbs, and leave at least 19 cm between the rows.Large bulbs are planted to a depth of about 14 cm, and small ones - 6 cm. At the bottom of the hole for the bulb, a substrate is made, for example, of sand. After placing the bulbs in the holes, they are covered with soil and mulched with spruce branches or sawdust.
When properly planted, tulips will not need more attention before spring arrives. But with the arrival of spring, be sure to remove the mulch and do the weeding. Further, as needed, carry out weeding, water the soil and feed with nitrogen fertilizers. When flowers appear, it is advisable to feed again, only with phosphorus and potassium.
When the tulips have bloomed, be sure to remove all bulbs and their babies from the ground. After that, they are sorted out, all the dirt is removed and put to dry in a warm and dry place, so that later, when the time comes, they can be dropped off.

Seeds: This method is considered very time consuming among gardeners, therefore it is rarely used. The first flowers with this method will appear only after five years, plus, this method often does not reproduce, unfortunately, all varietal characteristics.

This species has more advantages than disadvantages. Let's consider them.
The pluses include the following:

- used both in flower beds and decorate sidewalk paths, parks, gardens, alleys
- reproduction is carried out in several ways.
The disadvantages include:
- tulips are susceptible to various viral diseases
- they produce too few daughter bulbs.
Diseases and pests
The most common cause of the disease is improper or insufficient care. But you can always fight the disease by using folk methods or special means designed for this. These plants have one distinguishing feature: the transmission of the disease among themselves, therefore, after the treatment has been carried out, start transplanting the infected plant to another place, and for healthy flowers, carry out prophylaxis. The most common diseases are:
- Fusarium. With this disease, the stem becomes thinner, and the flower does not develop. For treatment, a manganese solution is used.
- Root rot. Happens after a wrong landing
- Gray rot. The cause is improper care. For treatment, they are treated with chemicals.
- Powdery mildew. When infected, it is treated with soapy water.
- August disease. If infested, immediately dispose of the affected tulip by incineration. The disease manifests itself in the form of brownish spots on the entire plant.
Also tulips can attack insect pests, which are also carriers of diseases. These include: slugs that damage the entire plant; bears, because of their activity the plant dies, as they damage the root system, special baits with poison can be made against them; onion mite, affects the main bulb, but, as a result, the whole plant dies, use any fungicide against it.
It is very difficult to choose varieties of these beautiful flowers to grow from such a huge variety. Everyone will be able to breed peony tulips, because this process is not difficult, and the result exceeds all expectations and pleases the eye with its beauty.
