This plant is unpretentious about care, and it will not be difficult to grow it from seeds even for a beginner.
Before growing petunias at home, the most important thing is to select high quality and healthy seeds. For the price, it may differ slightly from the usual varietal petunia, but it is worth it. After all, it will have a number of advantages over the usual varietal petunia: high resistance to unfavorable weather, a high degree of decorativeness, a high degree of resistance to disease and various pests. It takes about 3 months between you sowing and planting a petunia. You need to start sowing before mid-January, so that at the end of April you can get an already flowering plant. If you have chosen a variety of terry petunia, then it should be planted 15 days earlier, since it develops a little slower. In order to germinate seedlings, take a light soil that has good water and air permeability. Petunia is a lover of slightly acidic soil.
You can plant petunia seeds in 2 ways:

- Fill the seeds with a small amount of river sand.
Keep in mind that planting seeds deeply is strictly prohibited. The seed planting process should look something like this:

How to properly care for seedlings
If you want the seeds of your beauty to develop and germinate well, then provide her with constant moisture. The first shoots may appear 5-8 days after planting. When they appear, you can already remove the film. The place where the future seedlings will be located should be well lit and warm (the temperature before sprouting should be 20-25 degrees). Seedlings need regular and moderate watering. You can loosen the soil between the rows. It will do her good. In order for the petunia bushes to look even more beautiful, you need to pinch it. This will increase the number of flowers. For pinching, only 1 central shoot is taken (just a couple of mm).
When the seedlings of petunias at home are ready, they can be planted in open ground on your site, or transplanted into a pot, for growing it at home. It will be a little harder, but if you follow all the rules, then everything will definitely work out. The main secret of successfully growing petunias at home is soil. It should be lightweight and moisture-absorbing. Also, an important role will be played by the container in which you are going to grow petunia at home. If you have a terry or bush variety, then take a container with a volume of at least 3 liters per 1 bush. Naturally, there should be holes in the container for excess water to escape.
