How to breed pachisandra correctly
Pakhisandra likes a shady place, does not tolerate direct sunlight very well. But there are some varieties of perennial onions (Variegata and Silverrage) on the contrary, they love the sun and begin to painfully endure its lack. Also, the perennial variety has no preference for soil type. It can grow on any surface. But still, preference is given to slightly acidic and neutral types of soils.
Before planting the plant, provide drainage to avoid stagnant moisture. Due to the fact that the plant prefers a shady place, it is often not worth watering the plant. Pachisandra should be watered in dry and hot seasons. It is also not worth adding fertilizers, this is not necessary. If you add fertilizers, it can harm the decorative effect of the crop. The plant tolerates winter frosts well and does not need shelter.

If you want to increase the growth of young shoots, then pinch the top of the bush. Pachisandra can be propagated by the seed method, dividing and by cuttings. In order to divide the plant, it is necessary to dig it up and carefully divide the plant so that each part has a renewal bud.The strips should be placed in a groove 3-4 cm deep, the distance should be up to 25 cm between each other. Remember to shed the plants thoroughly after planting.
Pachisandra is very rarely propagated by seed. Because it is very difficult to find seeds. Also, the seeds do not germinate well, so do not expect a lush bush. If you get the plant through the seed method, it will start flowering only 3-4 years after planting. Therefore, this method is not entirely popular.
