The breeders continued to work on the variety and they managed to develop a hybrid that differed in some properties: independence from pollinating insects, immunity against many diseases, improved taste.
Phoenix cucumbers are intended to be grown in the open field. by nature it is considered a late-ripening variety of cucumbers. The time from planting in the ground to bringing the first fruits is about 60 days. The lashes of a plant are distinguished by their power, strength, the height can reach up to 3 meters in length, so it is better to think over some kind of support in advance. The fruits of "Phoenix" are cylindrical, green in color, the weight of the fruit can be up to 160 g. The length of the fruit reaches 13-15 cm, there are small tubercles, inside of which are small white thorns. This variety can be eaten both fresh and used as salting for the winter.

The covering material ceases to be needed when the air temperature is + 20 + 22 degrees during the day and + 15 + 16 degrees at night. Before planting Phoenix cucumbers in open ground, you need to prepare it: dig it up, add rotted manure. Cucumbers prefer light and porous soil.
