Phoenix cultivation rules
Growing the Phoenix cucumber variety is not much different from growing regular cucumbers. You can sow cucumber seeds for seedlings or immediately plant them in open soil. You can plant immediately in the soil in May - June. It is during this period that the threat of frost return passes and comfortable warm weather sets in. The soil should already warm up to at least + 15 + 16 degrees. While the temperature at night is far from ideal, it is best to cover your cucumbers with a covering material.
If you still decide to grow Phoenix cucumbers through seeds, then you need to plant seeds for seedlings in the month of May. You can transfer seeds to open ground when there are at least 2-3 leaves on the cucumbers. Already at the end of May, you can transplant seedlings into open ground. The covering material ceases to be needed when the air temperature is + 20 + 22 degrees during the day and + 15 + 16 degrees at night. Before planting Phoenix cucumbers in open ground, you need to prepare it: dig it up, add rotted manure. Cucumbers prefer light and porous soil.
Before planting Phoenix cucumber seeds, it is recommended to soak them in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Also, do not forget that cucumbers need constant moderate watering. It is worth watering when the top layer of the soil dries up. Do not forget to make additional fertilizing as well. cucumbers love them very much. It is better to combine mineral and organic fertilizers. Thanks to top dressing, the harvest will be even larger, and the plant will grow and develop correctly. Therefore, you can safely plant this variety of cucumbers in your plots. He does not require special care for himself.
