Disinfection of soil from fungal infections

How to disinfect soil
The greatest harm to vegetable crops is caused by fungal diseases, such as rot, scab, late blight and others. The surge in these diseases is due to the soil in which the infection is located. And for this you need to properly decontaminate the soil.
There are 3 main methods for soil disinfection: Agrotechnical, biological and chemical.
Let's consider each of them in more detail:
Agrotechnical soil disinfection
Before planting plants, you need to make small beds (approximately 1.5 * 2 m). Subsequently, it will be much more convenient to process, loosen, ventilate them. If you have a very tight planting, then mushroom mycelium can develop very quickly.
Also, do not forget about the correct crop rotation. That is, this or that plant can be re-planted in its original place after a few years.
Those vegetable crops that have been susceptible to fungal attack are recommended to be planted after garlic and onions, cabbage or legumes.
It is necessary to carefully select the planting material, and plant only seeds that have been treated with special means.
If the plant is affected by a disease, it must be removed from the garden and destroyed, this will help to avoid further spread of the disease.
Biological method of soil cultivation
If you have a small vegetable garden, then inexperienced gardeners do not recommend chemical treatment. The ideal option is to treat the plants with products that contain useful elements. And which do not contain harmful substances for humans and animals
Such preparations as Baikal EM-1 and EM-5 are considered to be workers; they treat the soil with these agents several weeks before the first frost. With the help of microorganisms, it is possible to suppress the development of phytopathogens and improve the soil. Biological fungicides are also suitable (Baktofit, Fitosporin, Phytocide M, etc.). Upon completion of the digging of the soil in the fall, the preparation is introduced into it to a depth of no more than 10 cm. And in the spring, it is carried out again.
Chemical method of soil cultivation
If, after processing the soil with biological agents, the proper result is not obtained, then chemical means of protection are used. It is important to pay attention to the means of class 3 and 4.
In the autumn, the soil must be disinfected with a 3% boric solution. And in the spring, a 4% solution of copper oxychloride and a 2% solution of oxychoma. They need to be introduced into the soil to a depth of 10 cm.
Chemicals such as Quadris, Bravo and Hom are introduced into the holes prepared for planting seedlings and seedlings. It is important to use according to the instructions. It is worth noting that any chemical agents destroy both the affected areas and the beneficial microflora.
In order to prevent the appearance of fungal diseases in the garden, you need to regularly carry out comprehensive preventive measures. Then the plants will delight you with a healthy and rich harvest all the time!
