We create a monosad with our own hands
Content:
For the average person, a garden is a huge variety of beautiful flowers imaginable. In such a place, a riot of colors and aromas reigns! But not much is known about the monosad.
What such monosad?
Now most gardeners prefer to grow on their site only one favorite flower for their eyes. Because large groups of plants look great, much more spectacular than flowers that are planted in one copy, even if they are surrounded by other plants. Moreover, it is absolutely not difficult for modern breeders to do this, because almost every ornamental plant has many varieties - tens or even hundreds of varieties. For example, earlier, when iris varieties in the garden could be counted on one hand, now there are about tens of thousands of them. The same applies to phloxes, tulips, peonies.
First mono optiongarden
Such a monosad is formed in two directions. In the first case, the types and varieties of any flower are selected taking into account their shade, size, height, habit. Plants make up a multi-stage mixborder. To highlight the brightness of the dominant plant, companion plants are added to a similar mix.
Second mono optiongarden
In the second case, in order to create such a unique garden, it is necessary to plant monocultures in modules, that is, isolated groups in the form of squares, elongated ribbons, circles. Subsequently, you can come close to each such mini-flower garden and, if desired, enjoy the luxury of flowering plants. If necessary, such a module can be easily exchanged for a new variety or even planted with other plants. Usually modular planting is done when organizing a tulip garden or, for example, daffodils. Among mono gardens, the most common are those where roses, irises, peonies, lilies, dahlias, hydrangeas bloom.
Monosad: what plants choose?
With the modern choice of flowers and plants, the creation of a monosad always begins with the question: What kind of flower to take as a basis? After all, such a colossal variety will baffle anyone. It is important to approach this issue responsibly and thoughtfully. To be able to create excellent exposure in tandem with plants that match the most important flower.
Royal mono flower
Rose is considered one of the favorite crops among gardeners. Previously, for example, this queen of flowers did not occur so often in our flower beds. Now, when it became possible to easily acquire its various varieties, more and more plots can be called a garden of one flower - a rose. Most often these are floribunda roses and polyanthus varieties, which differ in a variety of sizes, shapes and flowering duration. Spectacular trunks will diversify the composition of the monosad, if they are planted in the center of the garden or along its edges. Tall roses will look even more chic when surrounded by a border of miniature varieties. Curly roses give a special creativity. With their help, you can build the most interesting compositions of pergolas, arches and trellises, which will become a significant accent for the rose garden.
Let's make additions
Of course, a rose is a very independent flower, but, like a diamond in a good setting, it will play most advantageously if suitable neighbors are planted next to it. As such, you can use plants with blue, white and pink inflorescences, silvery foliage or bright green needles. As a result, delphiniums, oak sage, veronica, catnip, lavender, wormwood, woolly stachis, low conifers with a conical crown will be the most organic for the rose garden. An excellent solution to emphasize the brightness and saturation of a rose would be to plant it against a background of dense greenery. An unusual combination of conifers, lilacs or hawthorn bushes with a beautiful flower is an ideal solution for creating a monosad.
