We create a "gentle summer" in your garden

Bright summer houses are good in the garden, as well as decorating the balcony outside. They attract attention from afar, fix the gaze on themselves. But in places of rest, be it a terrace, a loggia or a small corner with a bench in the country, you want to contemplate more delicate flowers.

It is not for nothing that breeders all over the world are working on breeding whole series of plant varieties in gentle rushes. At the autumn exhibition "FlowersExpo" in Moscow, representatives of various flower companies showed such novelties. I'm talking about the most memorable ones.

Delicate dianthus flowers

Selecta One, a leading planting stock manufacturer, has delighted Dianthus (carnation) lovers with a range of delicate colors. These attractive hybrids are easy to grow, beautiful and fragrant. Peach Party chameleon variety is unusual. At the beginning of summer, pink-apricot flowers appear on it, which then "open" bright red eyes in the cores, creating a contrast between the dark center and its light edge. This dianthus is resistant to adverse weather conditions and feels great in flowerpots of all sizes. The short stems form in a rounded shape that resembles a bouquet of flowers. In the garden, you can create a chic carpet from it.

For cloves, it is important to correctly formulate the soil mixture. Take a universal flower soil, add a little loam and sand (perlite, vermiculite) to it. If you are growing dianthus from seed (sowing in February), start feeding the seedlings at the age of four weeks with a complex fertilizer for flower crops. Seedlings from five weeks need night coolness (+ 10-14 degrees). When the plants grow up to 4-5 cm, they should gradually begin to harden. The best time is a cool early morning, from 4 to 5 hours at a temperature not lower than +4 degrees, (put the seedlings outside for a short time). Before planting a bush in a pot, do not forget to lay drainage. Choose a sublime, sunny place in the garden for carnations.

Verbena series Bebop

Another "masterpiece" from Selecta One. This series will surely become popular due to its resistance to fungal diseases. Instances of the Bebop variety in unobtrusive lavender and pink tones boast early flowering.

A container with a diameter of 10-11 cm is ideal for growing verbena. Three plants are planted in wide ampelous pots. Since the flower loves watering and feeding, it is advisable to add a handful of hydrogel and complex fertilizer in granules to the universal soil. Watering should be regular but moderate. Lighting - diffused. Verbena is responsive to monthly spraying with a solution of succinic acid (2 g / 2 l of warm water). You can process both the seeds themselves and the seedlings. But the last time in a season to sprinkle a bush is recommended in the middle of summer.

Lobularia changed her "dress"

The unpretentious beauty perfectly reproduces by self-seeding, exudes a pleasant aroma and blooms until frost. On sale, there are mainly specimens with white petals, which perfectly complement bright, multi-colored neighbors, for example, petunias. And this season the Keintzler company presents an independent variety with flowers of purple shades - Princess in Purple. At a quick glance, this novelty differs significantly from its predecessors - it is more compact, bushy and blooming profusely.

Lobularia seeds are very small, so they are spread over the soil surface and not sprinkled.The optimal time for sowing seedlings in the middle lane is the first half of March. By this time, daylight hours increase, and the seedlings turn out to be strong, in the future they take root better. They are dived in beams. They are planted in the garden at the end of May. The place is chosen sunny or in partial shade.

Delicate fuchsia flowers

The German nursery "Elsner races" surprised us with beautiful fuchsia bushes. In the series with the warm name Summermelody, there are specimens with a color for every taste. I liked the delicate milky pink Sunalejandro. It would look great on a semi-shaded balcony in the company of ivy budra, balsam and begonia.

Perhaps the only drawback of fuchsia is the fall of buds in the summer heat. When it is very hot outside, it is better to bring the plant into a bright, air-conditioned room. A pot for a bush variety is selected in volume two times smaller (diameter 10-12 cm) than for an ampel one. To prevent the flower from being attacked by pests, the leaves are periodically washed and sprayed.

Delicate dahlia flowers

Dahlias (dahlias) of the same nursery are undersized and fluffy. The color palette of petals has no boundaries: red, orange, purple, pink ... Sorta 2019 is ideal for growing both at home and in the garden. In the Imagine lineup, take a look at the newcomers Lemon Ice and Power White.

Under the cultivation of a house at home, we mean a balcony or loggia. Although flowering plants can remain on a light windowsill for up to a month. A suitable pot size is 1 2-1 3 cm in diameter. The substrate needs a nutritious, moisture-consuming, pH 5.8-6.5. Drainage (preferably with pieces of coal) is required. Dahlias love warmth, at temperatures below +16 degrees, their growth slows down.
