Lapis lazuli from weeds: description of the drug and release form
The number of herbicides created by mankind today is such that they can destroy all plants on Earth. It is important to remember that in the use of these chemicals, measure is important, and they must be used with care and caution.
In agriculture, as a rule, the most demanded herbicides have a selective effect, showing good results in weed control. Among such drugs, the most popular is Lazurite against weeds, which copes well with weeds growing in plantings of potatoes, tomatoes, corn and other crops.
The drug Lazurite for weeds is produced in the form of a wettable powder, in various packaging: 10-20 g, 0.5 kg, 10 kg. The main active ingredient in Lazurite for weeds is metribuzin (700 g / kg), which, by the way, was registered in the United States back in 1973.
Treatments with lapis lazuli for weeds are carried out with a solution obtained by mixing a powdery substance with water.
As a universal preparation against weeds in fields, beds, Lapis Lazuli from weeds, and other selective herbicides, should be used in strict accordance with certain instructions. Otherwise, you may not get the expected result. Among the preparations for weeds that "attack" potato fields, Lazurite for weeds is used more often than other herbicides. Also, it should be noted that this drug is the only herbicide officially approved for use in personal subsidiary plots.
Weed Lapis Lazuli: Action
The widespread use of Lazurite against weeds in agriculture is due to the presence of its main active ingredient in the preparation. Metribuzin slows down and suspends the plant's photosystem by suppressing the absorption of sunlight by the weeds. As a result, the plant dies or stops developing without interfering with more normal crop growth.
It should be pointed out that Metribuzin is a part of many drugs, the action of which is aimed at controlling weeds. This substance is actively used in the countries of the European Union, where it was included in the list of permitted components of plant protection products, as well as in the USA, where its annual consumption is more than 1000 tons.

According to experts, the most suitable period for processing is the time before the emergence of seedlings, as well as after 3 - 4 weeks from the moment of their emergence. Treatment with the drug, as a rule, is carried out once or twice. Further, we will consider the ways of using "Lazurit" on the example of potatoes, the most often cultivated crop.
A single application of the drug Lazurite for weeds is carried out by spraying the soil, in an amount of 700 g to 1.4 kg per hectare. When the tubers are planted at the optimum depth, the buried sprouts will not be affected by the herbicide. Processing is carried out, if possible, on a windless day, not forgetting to moisten and loosen the soil in advance. These actions will improve the effectiveness of the drug.
In case of double treatment, the amount of the drug applied for the first time should be from 500 g to 1 kg per hectare. The second time the soil is treated with an even smaller amount of herbicide - no more than 300 g per hectare.
Important to rememberthat the appearance of 5 cm potato shoots on more than three quarters of the cultivated area is an indicator that it is no longer possible to apply the drug.
Instructions for the use of Lazurite for weeds contains the minimum and maximum dosage of the drug, which depend on the quality of the soil. For example, for heavy soils that do not differ in air permeability and moisture capacity, the dosage of the drug is increased to the maximum. And for light and loose soil, on the contrary, they are limited to the minimum amount of the applied preparation.
In addition, if the content of nutrients in the soil is less than 1%, this drug is not recommended at all.
The working solution, as already noted, is prepared by mixing the drug with water. To begin with, the drug is diluted in a small amount of water, ensuring its maximum dissolution, and then the water is added to the required volume. For example, a 20-gram sachet of a substance is first dissolved in 1 liter of water, and then the volume of the solution is brought to 6 liters. A solution of this concentration can be used for the first soil treatment, when the seedlings are not yet visible. If it is necessary to reapply the drug, its dosage should be 20 grams of dry matter per 20 liters of water. It should be remembered that the maximum concentration is permissible in the amount of 0.5% of the active substance. The prepared solution is not stored.
When carrying out treatment with herbicides, it is necessary to observe safety measures. Despite the fact that the drug is less toxic than other herbicides, when working with it, it is important to protect the skin of the hands, face, and respiratory organs. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out treatments, especially by spraying, with gloves, a mask, glasses, as well as wearing a robe or apron. Manual work on the site is possible no earlier than a week after its processing.
The possibility of contact of the drug with food products, as well as animal feed, should not be allowed.
Effect of treatment with Lapis lazuli against weeds
Lapis lazuli from weeds, being a selective herbicide, does not have a negative effect on vegetable crops. "Lazurite" has no property to accumulate in plant cells or soil. Due to the small size of the particles of the drug, dissolved in water, it quickly penetrates the root system, weed leaves and begins to act. The number of weeds that the herbicide can "cope" with is several dozen. Among them, such annoying annual dicotyledonous cereals as: sow thistle, shepherd's purse, ragweed, meadow chamomile and others.
The preparation of a solution of the drug Lazurit does not present any difficulties, and does not require additional time, the solution is ready for use immediately, from the moment of its preparation. Weed treatment with Lapis Lazuli guarantees that these weeds will not reappear. In addition, the use of this drug does not preclude the use of other herbicides. Some gardeners cultivate the soil by alternating lapis lazuli from weeds and other preparations. Also, it should be noted and the availability of this tool, due to its low cost.
It should be noted that traditional weeding can also be used to control weeds. At the same time, not everyone has the opportunity, and the desire to devote so much time to this "exciting" occupation. And someone simply will not allow health. In this case, Lapis Lazuli against weeds, of course, will become an irreplaceable helper. And in order for its use to be beneficial and the expected result, do not forget to follow the instructions for using Lazurite from weeds.
