When is the best time to plant gooseberries in the country?

It is necessary to plant it on a level place where sunlight enters. The site must be protected from the wind from the east and north. Do not forget that gooseberries are not adapted to high humidity, while they are normal for droughts. The shrub can be planted 2 meters from fertile trees and one and a half meters from the fence.
How to prepare a site for planting?
First, we clear the places from excess debris. After this, the site must be dug, remove the roots of the weeds. Then we level the ground with a rake and break the lumps.
What about the pit?
The hole must be dug a couple of weeks before planting the bush. Its width and depth should be up to fifty centimeters so that the earth has time to settle by the time of planting. We remove the top layer of the earth and set it aside, we do the same with the bottom layer of the soil.
Fertilizer for growing gooseberries in the country
After we have made the pit for the gooseberries, it is worth making fertilizer for planting. We mix 9-10 kilograms of humus (quenched), potassium (best of all sulphate), as well as fifty grams of superphosphate into the soil. Keep in mind that the soil must be fertile. The plant will have enough such land. Repeat this in a few years.
Note that the ground part of the bush must necessarily have several branches, namely strong ones. Before planting gooseberries, place the roots in any fertilizer that stimulates growth.

In the spring, before the buds open, it is necessary to add potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus to the soil. These mineral fertilizers will have a good effect on the berry. Summer care.
In the summer, you need to weed the gooseberries from time to time. After each such action in the form of loosening, water the ground with water.
Leaving in the fall.
Weed out any debris this time of year. After the leaves have fallen, they must be removed and burned. We burn foliage so as not to get infected because some pathogens of various diseases may remain on it.
