Each of us at least once in our life admired a miniature rose in some store? And at least once, but they could resist ... Let's remember: they bought it home, and as a gift, or they themselves received such a rose as a gift. True, not everyone succeeds in making friends with this beauty, and not always. Let's talk on this page about the secrets of caring for a miniature rose.

Indoor rose home care: how to choose a rose
In flower shops in pots, we are offered to buy roses of several varieties:
- Rose / Cordana /, has small bushes and small flowers;
- Rose / Turbo /, her flowers are slightly larger;
- Rose / Patio /, has larger bushes and flowers, this variety can be successfully grown in the garden.
Shop roses, despite their compact shape (height - from 15 to 25 cm, flower diameter no more than 20 mm), bloom, as a rule, from late spring to November, the plant has a varied color, flower shape, aromatic properties are often present.
Flowers are on sale, the age of which is up to 3.5 months from the moment of rooting. The bushes are planted in 3-4 pieces per pot.
It must be remembered that these young bushes are in a stressful state, since the plants are transferred from the greenhouse state of comfort to the unfamiliar and completely uncomfortable environment of our home. To begin with, you need to carefully examine the plant, and abandon the weakened, crumbling bushes. It is unlikely that even experienced gardeners will be able to revive them.
There should be no black spots on the shoot and leaf (this indicates fungal diseases). The leaves should be of good density and gloss without any white bloom (from powdery mildew), dark spots (from a fungal disease).
Indoor roses have a high probability of the following diseases: scale insect, mealybug, spider mite.

Indoor rose: home care. What to do to adapt
After purchasing a miniature rose, first you need to free it from the plastic pot, then clean it of fallen leaves and inspect it for harmful insects and diseases. It should be remembered that for almost a month the rose will adapt to new conditions, and all this time is one big stress for her. She can get rid of all leaves, flowers and buds. And only a month later, after getting used to it a little, it begins to grow again and after about a month and a half it can bloom again.
You need to start caring for this whim immediately: wash the foliage with warm water (preventive measures against spider pests); excellent if you spray the plant with the preparations "Aktara", "Fitoverm" and "Agrovertin"
If your rose is faded (or dying), then the plant should be immediately moved to a larger container, trying not to destroy the earthy lump, add special soil for the rose and treat the plants with one of the growth stimulants (Epin, Zircon).

Rose in indoor conditions: care, secrets of growing
Rosette is a lover of open space and bright light. Therefore, at home it must be kept on the sunniest windowsill, preferably on the west or east window.
The ground must be constantly moist; regular watering (the surface lump must be constantly wet) without stagnant water - only this guarantees the miniature rose active growth and many years of life.
Soil moisture can be felt as follows: lightly press your finger on the top layer of the earth; water will come out - until you can water! So the soil should be checked daily.
The water for irrigation is settled, warm, and the excess water from the saucer of the pot must be drained.
Top dressing for this plant should be universal and complex. An easy way to keep the rose always “full” is to use a special organic rose fertilizer. Fertilization begins from the beginning of spring to the end of autumn, in accordance with the instructions (about 1 p. / Week). The foliage is treated with fertilizers and irrigated with it.
Pay attention to the soil: if it is depleted, turned into dust or become heavier, then it is worth replanting the plant. Also, a transplant will be required if the rose has grown well, and the pot has become small for it, or when several bushes live in one pot. Each rose should have its own pot, then its development will be uniform and full.
It is better to replant the rose in the spring when it wakes up from its winter sleep. Expanded clay chips are placed on the bottom of the pot, then a special soil mixture is poured from the store (or a substrate of 2 parts of turf, 1 part of humus, 1 part of peat and 1/2 part of sand.
For winter, the rose is prepared a little: all dried and undeveloped branches are removed, the rest are shortened a little, leaving from 2 to 4 lower buds (the smaller the branch, the more buds should be left).
If your rose has given root shoots, this indicates the good health of the plant. A little time will pass, and a bush will consist of these young shoots. Such shoots are treated with care, they are pruned in the winter for 3-4 buds.
The rosette is propagated with the help of cuttings and a special drug "Heteroauxin" that stimulates the growth of roots. Cuttings are cut from late spring to late summer, 25-35 mm thick with a couple of internodes.
Prepare a solution with a tablet of "Heteroauxin" in a glass translucent glass, place the cuttings there. After a couple of weeks, roots appear (the solution does not need to be changed, just add water a little!). As soon as the roots grow up to 2 cm or more, the cuttings are moved into pots and they hide the planting from the sun for a couple of days. In the spring, these cuttings begin to grow rapidly, and, as a rule, begin to bloom two months after rooting.
It is important to remember that the rose does not need spraying and feels great in a room with standard humidity. And because of the high humidity, the leaves run the risk of catching a fungal disease, which "eats" the rose in two days.

Indoor rose: home care while preparing for winter
In winter, with central heating in our houses, the air becomes less humid, and besides, there are fewer light hours - of course, this is not reflected in the rose in the best way. If flowers appear, then they are not complete, and the leaves are falling more and more. A rest period begins: watering is reduced to one in seven days, the bush is cut off and sent to the cool (from 5 to 8 degrees) until February. It's good if the place is bright, but without direct sun (you can't do without fluorescent lamps or special phytolamps).
In rooms where illumination is impossible, the air should be no higher than 10 degrees, and then the plant will go into hibernation. The required air humidity should be maintained by simple spraying, without capturing the leaves of the plant in order to avoid fungal diseases.
It is also possible to arrange a natural sleep pattern for the rose: reduce watering to zero and the temperature of the environment to zero degrees. In this case, the leaves will fall off, and the plant will no longer need light. So the plant will sleep until spring.At the end of February, it should be transferred to its windowsill and watering little by little. Kidneys will appear very soon ...
In the summer, do not forget to put the rose outside, on the balcony or garden area. Fresh air is ideal for active growth and budding.
Rosette is a beauty with whims! A change of place, dry air, excessive moisture is a whole tragedy for her, and she can show character by discarding all flowers and buds. She can sleep for three months, and bloom for seven months in a year. The mistress of such a beauty should be a brave, hardworking connoisseur of beauty. And then her ward will delight with carved leaves and flowers of incredible beauty.
