Nowadays, it is quite problematic to arouse interest in something new among experienced gardeners and summer residents. However, there is a strawberry hybrid that, in the process of flowering, acquires pink inflorescences. This hybrid is called Tuscany strawberry. This hybrid is considered exotic. During the flowering period of the Tuscany strawberry variety, not a single experienced summer resident or gardener will pass by a stunning bush. Another feature of the Tuscany strawberry is that it can contain both fruits and lush inflorescences at once. There are still people who do not believe in the real existence of such a stunning bush, when they see the photos, they say that everything was done in graphic editors!
However, the Tuscany strawberry does not belong to varieties, it was obtained in two thousand and eleven by Italians working for ABZ seeds, which automatically classifies it as an F1 hybrids. Experts confirmed the information that using the planting material of the Tuscany strawberry variety, namely seeds, it is impossible to obtain exactly the same qualities as in the species from which this bush was formed. It is possible to breed strawberries using a mustache, it is a practical and uncomplicated method.
Of course, if you prefer the seed propagation method, then we recommend contacting a trusted garden and vegetable store and purchasing seeds there.
In a competition held all over the world, namely FleuroStar, the Tuscany strawberry won the hearts of all the judges after its first market launch.
The Tuscany strawberry is a bush of fifteen to twenty centimeters up, and about forty to forty-five centimeters wide, with a high growth rate. The shoots themselves can be one hundred centimeters long. Thanks to these qualities, strawberries are often planted in hanging pots and any other containers that can be hung.
The Tuscany strawberry variety belongs to the ampelous remontant varieties of garden strawberries. In simpler terms, from March to September the plant goes through the process of flowering and offering berries, and also forms elongated shoots with beautiful inflorescences. No need to wait for the shoots to take root to see the stunning flowers and sweet berries.
The foliage is green in color with a glossy front surface. The inflorescences are pink in color, after which red fruits appear in the shape of a cone, the size is ordinary.
The fruit usually weighs about thirty-five grams, the structure is compacted, the berries are filled with juice, the smell is very similar to wild strawberries.
Usually, in one season, it is possible to get about one kilogram of fragrant and sweet fruits.
The Tuscany strawberry variety has a high germination rate for planting material.
It should be noted that the level of resistance to heat or sudden changes in weather conditions is also at an altitude, as well as the level of resistance to various diseases, for example, fungal: root rot and spotting.

The basic rules for caring for the Tuscany strawberry variety and for ordinary cultivated strawberries do not differ, because the hybrid is essentially an ordinary strawberry. The bushes of this hybrid begin to be planted from March to May or from the first autumn month to October.
We recommend planting bushes in the spring when purchasing seedlings in a gardening store. As a bonus, you will receive a harvest in the same season.
If there is a desire to get the Tuscany strawberry variety using planting material, namely seeds, they should be sown in February, it is worth transferring seedlings to open soil from March to August. Of course, in August you will receive not only beautiful pink inflorescences, but also a tasty and juicy harvest. However, it will be possible to get a large harvest only in a year. When planting the Tuscany strawberry hybrid in open ground, it will look great like a green rug covering the ground. But most often it is planted in special suspended containers. It doesn't matter where you plant your strawberries, it's important to remember that the soil is light, breathable and fertile. You can buy ready-made mixtures in shops with a theme garden and vegetable garden. You can also make them yourself. Here's one of the options:
- Six parts of peat.
- three parts of turf soil.
- three parts of humus.
- one part of sand, in its absence, replace with one part of vermiculite.
Important to rememberthat the distance between each bush should be at least eighty centimeters and not more than one hundred twenty - one hundred and fifty centimeters.
All because of the strongly growing mustache, the Tuscany strawberry variety, which quickly and easily take root in the ground in the first seven to fourteen days. It is worth checking all the time how much territory the strawberry mustache occupies and limiting them in growth and filling the space. Before planting a hybrid in any container, it is worth checking the number of liters of soil, there should be at least two or three of them.
Rememberthat it is worth moistening the soil quite often. Do not spare warm and settled water during the growing season, and then reduce the volume during the period of berry appearance. It is recommended to water the plant twice a day on especially warm days, namely in the morning and at night.
Considerthat it is necessary to moisten the soil in the process of flowering and offering berries precisely at the root, so you will reduce the risk of rot.
Experienced gardeners and summer residents recommend using constant feeding. All because of the huge amount of effort expended on the simultaneous formation of beautiful inflorescences and tasty fruits. Top dressing should be done every fourteen to eighteen days. We advise you to purchase complex fertilizers in shops with the theme of a garden and a vegetable garden, they should contain a huge amount of trace elements. To support the plant, it is worth providing it with protection in the form of a dense film. From September the temperature begins to decrease, so it is possible to move the plant indoors. It is also possible to purchase artificial lighting, it will allow the plant to bear fruit for thirty to sixty days more. Make sure that the temperature in the room never drops below minus five degrees.
If you have a greenhouse or greenhouse in your summer cottage or suburban area, then you can plant strawberries there.
Strawberry Tuscany: reviews of gardeners
Anastasia, 40 years old, Smolensk
“I bought small seedlings Tuscany strawberries and planted them in March. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that it was blooming. So little time has passed ... Indeed, flowers are just a sight for sore eyes. A neighbor in the country thought that it was not a strawberry, but a newfangled flower bush. Then all the gardening went to me for seedlings, and of course, they admired the strawberries! The only negative for me is the small berries, but the sweet taste compensates for everything. The strawberry variety Tuscany has been growing on my site for the second year already, during all this time I have not been ill with anything ”.

“A friend shared three Tuscany strawberry bushes that were already in bloom. I decided to plant them near the window, there is no dacha of my own, so I had to put the pots on the windowsill. And at the end of spring, I tried my first self-grown red berry! Unlike a huge number of flowers, there is no mustache at all. By the cold, the berries have decreased, for me this is not a problem, I admire the flowers. "

On the advice, I bought an artificial light in the store and did not regret it! On the windowsill, the plant receives both light and fresh air. Every time my friends come to me, they ask me to pick a couple of berries for them, the Tuscany strawberry variety. "
