The variety was awarded a silver medal at the Dutch Plantarium exhibition in 2005 for the decorative appearance of the bush and the unusual coloration of flowers. The plant is slow-growing, forms a large number of young shoots with leaves of a pale green color. In adulthood, namely, at the age of five, clematis begins to bloom fully.

In the southern regions, clematis bloom for a long time, in middle latitudes - shorter. The flowering of plants is continuous, the first flowers emerge on two-year-old shoots, then they begin to form on young stems. The bush blooms profusely, fully covered with burgundy flowers. The appearance can be compared to a carpet covering a solid bush.

This variety is the most popular among all clematis. For the temperate zone, the plant is suitable, because it is frost-resistant, and in the southern regions it can be grown, since clematis is drought-resistant. The variety is cultivated almost throughout the entire Russian territory.

Character traits.
The bush is compact, dense foliage, leaf plates are light green in color, smooth, veined and reticulate. Leaflet is lanceolate, opposite, medium-sized, ternary.
The root system is mixed, grows widely, goes to a depth of 2 meters.
Clematis of this variety is dioecious, the flowers are large, 18 cm in diameter, have 6 sepals, elongated, in the shape of an oval, narrowing towards the upper part is observed. The upper part of the flower is velvety, painted in a deep burgundy shade, in the center there are light elongated ribs and barely noticeable specks of white. The petals have smooth edges.
Anthers of dark purple coloration are located on elongated, thin threads of a light yellow tone, which are located in the form of a semicircle.

Or, if you're lucky, single buds will appear at the bottom of the bush.

The second category includes most of the hybrid varieties of clematis. When cultivating Solidarity clematis, you need to have some knowledge of caring for it.
The lashes should be kept intact when removed from the support, because the stem is fragile enough.
If clematis is poorly covered for the winter season, then the buds may not be preserved, and excessive moisture can cause stem rot at the roots.

The soil should not be dry or waterlogged.

• How to choose and prepare a landing site.
  The planting site is chosen so that the location of the root system is in the shade, and the stems and young shoots in the open air. To photosynthesize substances, a large amount of ultraviolet radiation is needed. It is also important to find good soil for the plants and dig a planting hole that is suitable in size.
• The pit is prepared 10 days before planting the plants. The dimensions of the planting pit: depth - 0.75 m, diameter depends on the root system, the interval to the edge is 0.2 m. A drainage layer is laid at the bottom of the depression. Ingredients for the soil mixture: 3 kg of sand, 3 kg of peat, 5 kg of compost fertilizer, 200 grams of ash, 100 grams of superphosphate, 200 grams of nitrophosphate. The mixture is divided into 2 parts, one part is poured into the hole, the second is applied immediately upon planting.
• How to prepare a seedling.
  The seedlings that you prepared yourself are stored in a dark place in the winter season at a temperature of + 1-3 degrees, after the buds appear, the planting material is taken to a lighted place. Before planting, the plant is removed from the soil where the petioles germinated, the root system is placed in a solution against fungal infections, then in a preparation to stimulate growth.
  When you divide the bush, follow the rules. Share a flower that is over 5 years old. The plant is planted before the juice starts to move. Each seedling should have a healthy root system and 5 living buds.

  The soil is always loosened, it does not depend on the age of the plant. Prevent the topsoil from compaction and the development of weeds. Mulching is used to retain moisture and prevent overheating of the fibrous root system.
  It is advisable to spud the flowers, cover them with grass that has been mowed or foliage from last year. You can plant low-height flowers around the circumference of the root circle. Cohabitation will protect clematis from overheating, and flowers will grow periodically in shade.
