With the three most famous figures, namely spiral, conical, or pyramidal or columnar shapes, a person doing this for the first time can also produce without much difficulty. We will tell you how to perform this procedure according to detailed instructions.

To create shrub sculptures, you must have or purchase:

- sharp scissors for work in the garden (it is desirable to have two tools, power scissors and scissors without power drive).

- tape stencil for making a spiral shape.

- slats made of wood.

- ring stencil.

Shrub sculptures: all the pitfalls

For simple procedures, it is recommended to use a sharp, powered garden scissors. They are meant for performing work on pruning dried and compacted shoots. For final actions, when it is necessary to finish a couple of strokes or for young trees with thin branches, straight sharp scissors are used without the presence of a power drive.

The shape of the crown of a shrub sculpture must be maintained regularly. It is not recommended to start sculpting the shrub if you intend to prune the shrub once and not disturb the plant until the season is over. If we take this matter seriously, then without a regular amendment of the tree by the end of the summer season, the primary view will return - nothing will remain of the bush sculpture.

The time for pruning shrubs is from the last week of the last spring month to the end of the first autumn month. If you start the procedure for making a shrub structure later than usual, they will not be able to gain strength and energy, as well as acquire enough foliage for an excellent transfer of the winter season.

To carry out work on the manufacture of shrub sculptures, not young, abundantly overgrown shrubs are used. A beautiful sculpture will not come out of a tree that has not grown.

Don't cut your plant too short. With this option, you will undress the tree.

Prune the shrub annually to a slightly larger size than a year ago (adding about five centimeters in diameter, as opposed to last pruning). If you regularly trim the tree to the same size, then after a couple of years the tree will grow abundantly from the central part. Let the shrubbery grow in size!

Brown and red shoots must be removed at the same time. It's just impossible to bring them back to life. If most of the branches turn brown and red, then you need to prune them, but not immediately.

And do not think about remaking an old tree into a very complex shrub sculpture (for example, a mammalian shape).Trees in the form of figures of tigers, rabbits and so on are made thanks to a special base from the first weeks of existence, and cutting in this version will only keep the manufactured shape.

It is almost impossible to transform a "living" hedge into a bush sculpture! You need to think about whether you want to transform the tree into a shrub sculpture or use it as a hedge when planting.

How to trim with a spiral: giving it a pyramid or tapered shape

If this is your first time working on the manufacture of shrub sculpture and are worried about the correctness of your actions in working with your shrubs, then try to start with one of the simplest sculptures, namely with a cone-shaped shape. Its main advantage is the lightness of the frame. In the form of a frame, slats made of wood are used, their height is slightly greater than the growth of a tree.

If you wish to have a cone-shaped shrub, make three sticks next to the shrub. And if you want to have a pyramid-shaped bush, make five sticks next to the bush.

The most important thing in this procedure is to place the slats correctly in a circle and align them with a soft twine or wire exactly over the middle conductor of the bush.

Then there is no difficulty: using sharp scissors, cut the tree side by side, following the stencil.

When the cutting process is complete, the shelves are removed and slightly freed from the shoots growing in the lower part of the plant.

Then, with sharp scissors of smaller dimensions, they align the figure and refine the upper part.

And do not try to make a cone-shaped figure, but upside down. With this option, the upper part will create a shadow on the lower section of the shrub, and sunlight simply does not pass there.

How to trim with a spiral: giving a columnar shape

This shrub sculpture is different in that it is made very simply and not for a long time, and with an oversight, a poor-quality columnar shape can be transformed into another shrub sculpture, for example, a cone-shaped or spiral-shaped shape. On the contrary, such a procedure cannot be carried out.

Experts can make this cut and approximately (by eye), and beginners and other gardeners are advised to use stencils. With this option, you can take slats made of wood as a stencil.

The shrub must be furnished with a so-called fence made of wooden slats around the circumference. To make a circle, not an oval, the wooden slats must be aligned using a ring made of metal with a width that is equal to the desired column width. If you do not have a ring, it is possible to hammer slats made of wood into the soil along a circle drawn on the soil.

Note!

The main tree trunk must be placed in the middle of the circle. If you do the wrong thing, the column will not turn out straight.

Once again, with excellent eye markings and understanding of shapes, it is possible to make the shape of a tree without the help of a stencil.

First, reduce all abundantly protruding shoots and only then begin more painstaking work.

Your main and most important goal is to have a straight line around the entire perimeter of the shrub. The tree should not grow or shrink in size.

At the last moment, you need to make a non-volumetric cut on the top.

If the upper part has unevenly growing branches, do not rush to cut the top shortened, so as not to expose the branches. After a while, the cut area will be overgrown and you can trim the top again.

How to Trim Thu with a Spiral: Spiraling

If you think about it, this is the most famous and favorite handicraft sculpture. Of course, you have seen spirals made of pine needles several times in park zones and squares.

To obtain a beautiful and unusual spiral shape, herbaceous must be made on a trunk.

If you have a tree with a couple of trunks at the same time, then it is also possible to transform it into a spiral shape. However, for this it is necessary to tie up the trunks so that they do not turn into a fan.

The easiest method is to cover the tree with a thick ribbon stencil, depicting a spiral shape. This way you will be able to see perfectly where you need to cut your hair.

If you are great at making the markings by eye, you can not use any stencils.

First, you need to remove all crooked and dried shoots, and then start trimming the spiral along the line.

At the time of making the first turn, do not go deep into the middle of the bush, look for a new line.

Cut the shrub evenly and slowly towards the middle until the desired shape is achieved.
