Butcher description
Butcher is also called Ruscus, or Ruscus. The plant belongs to the Asparagus family, or Asparagaceae. But some biologists believe that this herbaceous species will be reckoned with the new Iglitsev family, or Ruscaceae. Another group of biologists distinguishes this herbaceous plant in the Liliaceae family.
This indoor herbaceous plant has been growing for several years and has a rather unusual presentation. Differs in unpretentious behavior and non-capriciousness in agricultural technology. Can grow in partially shaded areas. Usually gardeners grow this plant as a house shrub, but it is possible to grow it as a stunning Christmas tree. In the process of fruit offering, almost every herbaceous fruit has round berries of a bright reddish color. Due to the fact that this plant is not capricious, it is usually selected for decorating living quarters and work offices. The tough branches of this herbaceous herb are dark greenish in color. Immediately after removal, they do not lose their unusual presentation for several months, which means that herbaceous is quite suitable for the manufacture of various compositions.
Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in oak and pine forests in Western Europe, Crimea, the Caucasus and the southern part of our country.
This plant can grow up to seventy centimeters. Foliage in the form of pointed stakes was originally flat stems called cladodia, or phyllocladia. The foliage with scales is rather small.
In the spring season, the flowering process begins, however, there are quite few decorative highlights in the flowers. But from the pollinated flowers, berries are formed, which immediately after ripening become bright red or orange and red at the same time. The fruits do not fall for a long time. This means that flowers and berries can be located on each shrub. As a result, you might think that this plant is producing a flowering process and bears fruit all the time. For the formation of berries, both herbaceous genders are required. One, most often, berries can form on a given plant, which grows in a single copy.
Butcher care
The agricultural technology behind this herbaceous is quite simple. Remember that the abundant growth and development of the plant begins only in the spring season. This season, fully formed young branches begin to grow. And what size they will be depends on fertilization, and also on moisture. This herb must be handled with extreme caution. Because if the branches are damaged, the young can grow exclusively with the arrival of the next spring season.
Required amount of light
Diffused lighting is required, but it can also feel good in a partially shaded area. In the winter season, it is advised to place it on the loggia, the sill of the south side, and in the summer season to place it on the east or west side. Remember that direct sunlight in the summer season can destroy the plant, in other words, it will dry out.
Temperature indicator
In the spring and summer seasons, the herbaceous plant needs a normal room temperature indicator, it is recommended to place the plant in fresh air. In the winter season, it requires coolness (constant temperature regime of thirteen to fifteen degrees). Therefore, this plant is suitable for cultivation in rooms with sufficient light. There are also varieties with a high level of resistance to cold, with which it is possible to decorate the site.
Required moisture level
Doesn't need a certain level of moisture. Gardeners recommend regularly sprinkling the shrubs, and also rinsing with a sponge to remove dust.
How to moisturize correctly?
In the process of abundant growth of young branches, herbaceous requires regular moisture. Immediately after the moment when growth stops, the plant may suffer from a lack of moisture.
Fertilizer
Fertilization is carried out in the process of abundant growth once every twenty-one to thirty-one days. For this, a complete complex feeding is used. In the winter season, the herbaceous state of dormancy occurs, and it is forbidden to fertilize the plant at this time.
Specificity of changing the place of growth
The change of the place of growth in the spring season is carried out as needed. The shape of the cultivated shrub depends on the selection of the container. So, if you want to have a lush bush as a result, then you should select a wide container. In it, young branches are rapidly formed from the creeping root system of the plant. In a small pot, the plant will not be large.
Earth mix
Does not require soil saturated with nutrients, because in its natural environment it prefers to grow in mountainous areas. But the soil should not be overly compacted, because accumulation of liquid in the soil should be avoided. To make an earthen composition suitable for a given plant, it is necessary to mix leaf and sod soil, and also sand in accordance with three to one to one. Dried adult underground branches should be removed in the process of changing the place of growth.
Butcher breeding
It is possible to breed using the seed method or by dividing the shrub. The second method is the simplest. The division of the rhizome, an overgrown adult herbaceous, is carried out in the spring season. All separated parts should have roots and branches. Remember that the change of growing location is done before abundant growth begins.
