The Williams pear grows well only where the soil is loose and fertile, the area is sunny, closed from strong winds. Williams pear seedlings are planted at the age of two years. The well is prepared in two weeks, 80 cm by 60 cm, where 80 is the diameter and 60 is the depth. The bottom of the hole is lined with drainage, the second layer is filled with soil mixed with organic fertilizers on a third of the entire hole. A seedling is placed on the formed mound, spreading the roots, falling asleep with the remaining soil from above. After planting, the Williams pear seedling is watered abundantly and covered with mulch.
Caring for Williams pear is quite standard for garden trees:
- Watering. Young trees are watered up to four times a week, adults up to 7 times a season. Top dressing. It is carried out in three stages: in the spring, before flowering and after harvesting, fertilized with manure, nitrogen-containing and potassium fertilizers, organic and mineral fertilizers.

- Anastasia Viktorovna, Perm region: “The Williams pear variety has been growing in my garden for many years. I especially like that Williams pears can be harvested within two weeks from the moment of ripening and the fruits will not lose their taste. It is necessary to store the harvest in a cool place and then you can safely enjoy fresh Williams pears for up to six months. "
- Victor Petrovich, Sverdlovsk region: “Pear Williams for me is one of the most delicious varieties grown in the garden. Basically, we use the Williams pear variety fresh, but sometimes we make fresh juices and make pear jams. Also, from Williams pears, an incredibly tasty charlotte is obtained. "
