A new summer pear variety was bred at the Sverdlovsk gardening station. They called him the Messenger. The Parents of the Pear Vestnik became the variety Topic and Bessemyanka from Finnish early. Pear Vestnitsa was bred by Dibrova and Kotov.
Pear Messenger: variety description and characteristics
The Vestnitsa pear variety is bred mainly in summer cottages.
The tree grows poorly, the branches of the skeletons are located at right angles, up and on the sides. The crown is not very lush, but from the side of the tree it looks like a ball, since the shape of the crown is round. Fruiting occurs both on ringlets and on twigs.
The cross-section of the shoots is rounded, they are slightly pubescent and straight. The bark on them is yellowish, they are not very wide in thickness.
The leaves are concave, serrate and smooth. All as one, smooth, glossy, green.
The peduncle of the pear Vestnitsa variety is long, with a calyx. The fruits themselves are small, colored yellow.
The pulp is sweet and crispy.
Features of the variety
The fruits of the Vestnitsa pear variety are harvested in August, closer to its second half. They are not transportable and can be stored for no more than seven days.
Pear Messenger: advantages and disadvantages
The fruit of the Herald pear has a number of advantages, such as high resistance to cold weather, a bountiful annual harvest and a pleasant taste.
And the Vestnitsa pear variety has only two drawbacks - very few and small fruits are stored.
