Pear Saint Germain is a fairly old winter variety from France. Until some time this variety was called "good louise", or "Bonne Louise Duhamel", this name originated in 1872. The Saint-Germain pear variety was intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. It is widespread in the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, Kabardino-Balkaria, Dagestan, Moldova, Ukraine, Central Asia and Armenia.

At the edges, the leaves are finely serrated or have no serration at all, the petiole is rather thin, of ordinary size.

The heart is smaller than usual or ordinary size, the shape of a regular ellipse, located closer to the upper part of the fetus, is pronounced, granulation is not observed. The seed chambers are large, completely closed, the axis is slightly hollow. The seeds are dark brown in color, rather long, of ordinary size. The tube under the cup is funnel-shaped.
The flesh of the Saint-Germain pear is green and white at the same time, the density is ordinary, filled with juice, melts in the mouth, has a pleasant aroma, refreshes, has good taste.
