Pear Original is a summer variety, it was bred on the basis of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Irrigated Horticulture. The authors are: Grozdetsky P. V., Boyko I. N., Avramenko E. M., Kulikov P. I., Maksimova I. N. The progenitors of the variety remained unknown. Pear Original is included in the state register, recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus.
Pear Original: variety description and characteristics
Pear tree sorts Original medium stature, sparse crown, pyramid-shaped, with slight spreading, drooping branches. Fruiting occurs mostly on the ringlets.
Shoots are greenish-brown in color, upright, elongated, medium in thickness, internodes are long, not pubescent; lentils of medium size, slightly convex. The buds are round, appressed, light brown in color. The leaves are green, medium-sized, round, in the form of an egg, the ends are sharp, the leaves look to the sides. The leaf plate bends upward, soft, thin, smooth, glossy, not pubescent. The flowers consist of five petals, in the form of saucers, white in color. The petals are concave, the filament of the stamen is vertical, the anthers are pink. The stamens are located above the pistil.
Features of the variety
Fruits of the pear variety Original, medium or larger, elongated, in the form of a standard pear, with a few tubercles. The peel is plump, dry at the moment of technical ripeness, yellowish-green hue, there is a delicate blurred blush of reddish color on the sunny side of pears. Fruit coloration is very decorative. The fruit stem is medium in length, vertical. There is no funnel, the cup is half open.
The inner content is whitish-creamy, delicate, fine-grain, juicy, sweet-sour, fine aromatic properties, not granular, pleasant taste. The fruits contain dry matter (10.3-19.6%), sugars (8.7-11.5%), titratable acids (0.18-0.3%), ascorbic acid (3.8-4.4 mg per hundred grams of wet weight).
The technical ripeness of pears occurs before the 15th of August, full - after seven days.
Storage of pears of the Original variety is possible for ten days. They are transported at an average level.
Pears Original are eaten fresh. The tree begins to bear fruit from the sixth to seventh year after planting. Profuse fruiting every year.
The tree is resistant to winter, dry and hot periods. The scab does not overcome it, the variety is unpretentious to the ground.
