It is rather problematic to select a certain variety from a large number of new varieties, most often summer residents prefer old proven varieties as the first variety. The most common variety is the Noyabrskaya pear, which has many advantages: a high level of cold resistance, early maturity, an average level of resistance to external factors.

Advantages and disadvantages
The above description of this variety of pears fully justifies the wide distribution and great popularity of this variety. The November winter pear variety has many advantages, for example:
- early maturity, the tree quickly begins to produce a crop.
- the amount of harvest is large, regular, fruits can be removed from the tree every year, this indicates a good yield.
- the branches of the fruit crop have a high level of resistance to sunburn, which shelters the tree from wounds in the spring season.
- high immunity to diseases of the fungus and scab will allow you to safely cultivate fruit crops in areas with an excessive amount of moisture and a low temperature index.
- strong stalks hold the crop quite firmly, the fruits of this variety do not fall off in the presence of monsoon rains.
- the obtained fruits can be kept for a couple of months.
- the harvest ripens perfectly in the storage, which will preserve the fruits in adverse weather conditions.

Pear Noyabrskaya is considered the best in Europe, but this variety also has disadvantages. To summarize, the opinions of summer residents about this variety are good, but there are summer residents who notice the following shortcomings:
- the level of resistance to cold is below average at the crown and trunk, humid and cold climatic conditions mean that the fruit tree must be pressed to the soil and covered for the winter season, for example, in the Amur region.
- the dimensions of the fruits differ from each other.
- unattractive presentation of fruits, different sizes and shapes of fruits, slight ribbing and the presence of dark spots).
- the fruit tree needs pollinating varieties, otherwise the pear will not yield.
Regardless of the aforementioned disadvantages, the November winter pear is cultivated throughout Russia. The most important advantage is non-capriciousness.
Pear Noyabrskaya: planting varieties

It is not at all difficult to cultivate the Noyabrskaya pear variety, which means that this variety is great even for summer residents who have no experience. It is worth remembering the self-infertility of this variety, which means that pear trees of other varieties must be planted on the territory near the fruit tree.
- Planting a fruit crop
It is recommended to plant the Noyabrskaya pear variety in the southern part of the territory, selecting a site that is located on a hill and sheltered from cold winds and drafts.
We recommend planting the November winter pear in colder areas during the spring season, so that the tree adapts to the arrival of frost. In other regions, it is advised to plant a fruit tree in the autumn season.
- Disembarkation instructions:
- Six months before planting a tree, it is required to make a planting hole. Its dimensions must correspond to the root system of the seedling, usually it is seventy centimeters by seventy centimeters.
- The planting hole is filled with a mixture of soil, superphosphate, wood ash, humus and top dressing with a high potassium content.
- A stake is placed in the middle of the planting hole, then the seedling is tied to a peg.
- Set the tree in the middle and straighten the root system.
- Carefully cover the root system of the tree with soil, without touching two to three centimeters to the root collar.
- Tie the seedling to the stake.
- Moisten and cover the soil with a layer of mulch near the seedling.
Note! For mulching, it is advised to use compost, humus, peat, but shredded wood is also suitable.
In the first summer season, immediately after planting this species, the tree must be moistened three to four times. Immediately before moistening, the soil is dug up so that oxygen flows to the root system.
Pear Noyabrskaya: variety care

The initial task of the summer resident is to create favorable conditions for the good development of fruit crops and reduce the likelihood of infection with various diseases. For an accelerated harvest, normal development and regular fruiting, it is necessary:
- This type of pear prefers a slightly moist soil, which means it is advised to moisturize it on especially hot days. Moistening with sprinkling is especially good when the pear receives liquid through the root system and leaf plates.
- Until the moment of maturation, the fruit crop should not come into contact with weeds. Weed vegetation does not cause any inconvenience to adult fruit trees, but the soil must be regularly dug up.
- Pruning is especially important for young fruit trees. In the first twelve months immediately after disembarkation, the summer resident must shape the crown. In a one-year-old seedling, the central branch is reduced by one-half. If every year we reduce all branches by ten to fifteen centimeters, it is possible to get a more accelerated development of the fruit crop and a quick harvest. In ripe fruits of this variety, old, dried and infected branches are cut off, they are constantly pruned sanitary or rejuvenating in spring. Saplings of this variety can freeze out if the winter season does not have snow, but the temperature indicator drops as low as possible. To prevent this, the soil near the trunk is covered with a layer of mulch, namely peat, the layer should be about thirty centimeters. Fruit trees at the age of shelter usually do not require.
- You can fertilize this variety with organic and mineral dressings. In the autumn season, after removing the fruits, it is possible to place humus, rotted manure, compost, wood ash into the soil. For three months, the soil is enriched with potassium, saltpeter, phosphorus, urea and nitrogen.
- This species has good immunity to diseases of the fungus and various bacteria, however, the health of the tree is very weak to parasites. In order to prevent the fruit tree from being attacked by insects, immediately before the flowering process, the crown is sprayed with chemicals. Processing is carried out again in a month.
- It is possible to remove the fruits of this variety at the end of the first autumn month. However, under good weather conditions, you should not rush, the harvest keeps well on the fruit tree and does not lose its taste.

My father and his grandfather planted a pear of the Noyabrskaya winter variety at the dacha, we eat the fruits of only this tree. In appearance, the fruits are ugly, crooked, but the taste, aroma and terms of content are simply amazing. I store the fruits until the middle of the spring season. My wife prepares compotes and preserves for my grandchildren, and I like to dry pears. I can say that at least for a change in the country, you can plant such a tree.
